On Friday's Mark Levin Show, Qatar is working hard to buy off as many people as they can. There's a lengthy list of influential figures—including top business executives, politicians, podcasters like Tucker Carlson, think tank members, and even some Israel supporters and hawks—who are invited to Qatar with expenses covered for first-class travel, hotels, meals, and sometimes substantial payments to speak or interview others. Qatar is aggressively buying influence through lavish events like Formula One races, investments in U.S. colleges, and luxuries for elites, who enjoy flashy displays of wealth while ignoring the exploitation of over a million indentured servants. This benefits only the ruling class and elites while ordinary Americans gain nothing and are screwed big time. This is also helping Qatar push the Muslim Brotherhood's goal to infiltrate the US and destroy democracy from within. Also, the fusion of Marxism and Islamism is exemplified by the recent killing of Specialist Sarah Beckstrom and other terrorist acts. The Democrat Party opposes border security, viewing immigration as a right for foreigners while expecting citizens to accept it. Immigration's purpose should serve American citizens of all backgrounds, not invite unvetted foreigners who bring murder, hatred, and unassimilated ideologies. Failed assimilation corrupts institutions like K-12 education, colleges influenced by Qatar, media affected by Saudi Arabia and Democrats, leading to societal suffering from imported threats like the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and Qatari money. On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, Jim Verdi fills in for Mark. The FBI has arrested Brian Cole from Virginia as the suspect in the January 5-6, 2021 pipe bomb incident near the DNC and RNC, identified through forensic evidence. This case is a major scandal, as the Biden administration and FBI had this information for four years and they couldn't out it together?  This could also count as an assassination attempt of incoming VP Kamala Harris, yet nobody seems to want to talk about that. It seems that the Biden administration didn't want to find out who the pipe bomber was. This is just the start of unraveling unanswered questions rather than the end of the investigation.  Also, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in favor of Texas using its redistricting map potentially allowing the state to gain five extra seats in the midterm elections. Dissenters Kagan, Sotomayor, and Jackson argued – racism. But the redistricting was the opposite of what they alleged. Later, the latest battle in the ongoing media manipulation of the news cycle is the battle with Pete Hegseth. Democrats are pushing for Hegseth to resign or be fired by President Trump, alleging he committed a war crime during a September 2nd strike on a boat carrying drugs and two narco terrorists. Trump is fighting the drug war by taking it to the cartels and the Democrats can't stand it. Finally, Minnesota's immigration situation is a disaster that could spread nationwide. Biden administration had an unstated goal of allowing immigrants from third-world countries, particularly Somalia, to enter and take over towns, cities, and states without assimilating to American culture. CAFE stands for “Corporate Average Fuel Economy.” An easy definition, via the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, is a regulation: …[on] how far our vehicles must travel on a gallon of fuel. In today's culture I feel we have conflated beliefs with facts. I view us as a culture at war with our perspectives. We are seldom arguing about literal facts. Look at the news headlines, social media, and any reporting entity and you find great polarization and emotion around issues. And what is generally being debated is again, not fact, but belief. Belief we grow to thinking is actually fact, even when it can't be. Why? My guest cites how we so often attach our beliefs to our identity. Then if the belief is questioned, your very identity is being questioned. Think about this. Have you ever heard someone say, “I tend to vote for Democrats, I align with a Catholic faith, I eat vegan, and I run a lot for exercise.” No. Listen to how we say it; “I'm a democrat, I'm a Catholic, I'm a vegan, and I'm a runner.” I am. It's not my belief, it's who I am. So let's talk about what this is doing to us. My guest is cognitive scientist Andy Norman. Or let me rephrase that. My guest is Andy Norman who works as lot in cognitive science. Andy is an award-winning author of Mental Immunity: Infectious Ideas, Mind-Parasites, and the Search for a Better Way to Think. His research is on the emerging science of mental immunity as the antidote to disinformation, propaganda, hate, and division. Andy strives to help people develop immunity to bad ideas. As you'll hear, my focus is really on the harm we do to ourselves and others when we are so rigid in our beliefs we won't consider anyone who differs. As I already mentioned, Andy showcases how many, if not most of our beliefs, are more tied to our self-image than truth, and how this hurts us and everyone else. It's ok to have strong beliefs, but if you feel strong in them and it's not just to support your personal bias, then wouldn't you be strong enough to allow someone to explain their differing beliefs and actually seek to understand them? My interest is around connection and peace instead of the conflict we continually see in our culture.
