You’ll learn how a poem I read at 9 years of age helped me deal with a tragedy at 27 and how this poem continues to help others heal. Have there been things in your past that have served as meaningful messages to help you deal with things in your life journey? If so, I would love to hear about it. Be a guest on a future episode!
Knowing what conscious filters were formed in childhood is a good start to understanding how we perceive our reality. Filters form the foundation of the interpersonal dynamics in our personal and professional relationships. Filters become layers of our personality that are not who we truly are. By identifying the filters we’ve accumulated over the years, we’ll be able to realize why we react the way we do. Hopefully, by making a conscious decision to acknowledge each filter, and feel gratitude in knowing that it no longer serves us in a positive way, we can lovingly release it and move towards living an authentic life.
Two years has passed since my first podcast episode was published and the time in between then and now can be perceived as “taking a detour” from my original plan or goal. Others might see it as simply “ going with the flow” of life. This is a short episode that raises an important question to many of us whose plans haven’t yet fully transpired or who feel that they’ve been meandering through the rivers of life. Life has many rivers that feed into one another at different points. Some of us find ourselves paddling upstream while others seem to be going with the flow. I’d like to explore and elaborate more on these two mindsets, in future episodes. Also, I realize that I am still learning the nuances of using Anchor’s podcast platform and this episode has a few little blips in the road. If you’d like to be a guest on this podcast and share your take, I’d love to have you. Reach out to me!
