On the date we released this podcast, the UK has been on lockdown as a result of Covid-19 for just under 7 days. This interview was conducted on evening of the 24th March. Carlo and I discuss the 'disruption of the conversation', how every company is a media company today (even if they don't know it yet), #sporthiatus and the ways in which Sport is coping with the coronavirus outbreak.
In this first episode, I talk with Svilen Rangelov who I managed to catchup with on a recent trip to Sofia. Svilen is the co-founder of Dronamics (https://www.dronamics.com/), a Bulgarian 'middle mile' unmanned aerial vehicle startup created by two brothers who have been persistently chasing their vision to democratise airfreight and lower the cost of shipping in emerging markets. To achieve this, they are developing a new type of cargo airplane – small, unmanned and extremely fuel efficient. The whole system costs less than a sports car! In this episode, Svilen talks to me about how upcoming changes in EU regulation look set to help Dronamics and his views on the future of e-commerce delivery.
