In the past ten years, indie game developers have sprouted out of nowhere. Indie Games are becoming the norm in modern game development. Like it or not, we live in a day and age where video games are a prime source of entertainment. There are many different platforms and developers, genres and styles. And now it’s easier than ever to pick up a book and start creating your own games. But to find out how we got here, we have to look at where it all started. Going indie in the games industry is the norm now. In this day and age, any person, of any age or location, can create their own games for themselves, share on websites like IndieDB, or compete in Ludum Dare game jams. The options are more open than ever for indie developers. We’d like to thank a few people for making the Indie Podcast Possible. Thanks to Kevin Macleod for the Indie Podcast’s Intro Music, track titled “Tech Live” at incompetech.com, and We’d like to thank our friends at Anchor for their continued support.
