This podcast centers around a 41-year-old blind black-man in Tacoma Washington named Amin Hester. Amin studies and works at Tacoma Community College. This case study explores the cognitive dissonance in educational and social settings using Critical Social and race theory, along with Marxist theory of oppression and seclusion. The objective of this podcast is to enlighten the majority population of Tacoma Washington including faculty and students, to prevent cognitive dissonance, discrimination, and isolation of visually impaired students. The study also brings light at the obstacles a man of color with disability has compared to a person experiencing disability without any racial barriers. The main objective is to see education and career obstacles through the eyes of Amin Hester, and educational and creative expression leading to success despite our views of disability.
