Mentally Stable is about real nurses in real life and their struggles to maintain a work-life balance. We dive headfirst into the stories about our anxieties, fears, families, and problems. We talk about our struggles of balancing the demands of nursing and our personal lives. We want to share the good and the bad of being a nurse while remembering why we still feel called to this profession. We want to connect with our fellow nurses and share these stories and experiences with them.

The New Normal is an episode where we explore the topic of this new strain of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, and what it is like to be a nurse during this pandemic. Toni, Ashley, and Vy talk about the anxiety and fears that we as nurses and healthcare professionals experience when facing the uncertainty of COVID-19. With the ever changing guidelines and recommendations coming from the CDC and WHO as well as our home institutions and facilities, it can be overwhelming to remain up-to-date and to feel that you are protecting yourself, your patients, and your loved ones. With a high demand for personal protective equipment (PPE) and the shortages of facemasks and N95s, nurses and healthcare professionals are understandably worried. We understand these concerns, and we want you to know that you are not alone! DISCLAIMER: Due to frequent changing of guidelines as we learn information about the new Coronavirus, some information discussed may differ from the most current recommendations. Please check with the CDC and WHO guideline pages as well as your institution's current policies for further information. Links mentioned in this episode: http://cdc.gov http://who.int
