Should men wear makeup? It's an interesting question that has lead to debate recently. Despite makeup being clearly marketed towards women, makeup companies have been using MEN as ambassadors to sell their products. What could possibly explain this? Learn more about your ad choices. In this episode, Julie reads a letter to Savannah from a 14-year-old individual whose parents found out about their crossdressing. As a result, this teenager is afraid to dress again. Savannah and Julie, both having strong feelings on the topic, spend the episode dissecting the short letter, Julie's response, and what it's like to be a teenager struggling with an inherent sense of their own gender diversity. What can parents do t support their children without overreacting...both in a too-positive and a too-negative way? Savannah also brings up a www.Parents.org article about how to support a queer youth going through the trials and tribulations of sexuality and gender diversity at such a tender age. In this episode, Savannah reveals to Julie a mind-blowing revelation. During a counseling session, the therapist comments that much of Savannah's current proclivities, life coping skills, and non-confrontational demeanor may have stemmed from a childhood chock full of continued attempts to keep herself safe from emotional harm and invalidation by her parents. Self-preservation is a critical and often-overlooked reason why we continue to exist as a species. Throw in gender diversity in a world that hasn't fully embraced our authenticity and the chance that our parents may withhold their unconditional love from us because we are not fitting into the right 'normal' boxes and you have a ripe recipe full of adulthood triggers and traumas. While those coping mechanisms were internally created to practically protect our younger selves way back then, those tools' relevancy and requirement in our adult lives continuing to shield and protect our inner princess child may have become outdated, dull, and may be hurting as much as it is helping. ----- SAVANNAH HAUK is the author of “Living with Crossdressing: Defining a New Normal” and “Living with Crossdressing: Discovering your True Identity“. In this episode, Savannah comes to the table with Julie with a story of detransition. Chris Beck, a United States Navy Seal, who gained public attention in 2013 after coming out as a trans woman (Kristin Beck), announced in 2022 that he would be detransitioning. Upon investigation, Savannah found an article and interview entitled, "Former Navy SEAL Trans Poster Boy Announces DeTransition: 'Transgender Ideology Is Cultish'" on the Christian Broadcast Network online media outlet. After reading the article and watching the first hour of the two-hour interview, Savannah and Julie needed to discuss the topic. While Chris' detransition is an unfortunate one, his claim that all gender-affirming care and 'the system' behind it is cultish becomes the basis of why it is so important to find the right resources, the right information, the right allies, and the most true version of one's self. While there are some kernels of truth in the interview (needing to make sure children are not medically mangled, not relying on the first medical opinion one hears, etc.), the idea that his experience is a cumulative total sum of what all gender expansive care experiences are for every person's specific gender needs is a dangerous position to take. See the article link we talked about on the show: https://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2022/december/former-navy-seal-trans-poster-boy-announces-detransition-transgender-ideology-is-cultish ----- SAVANNAH HAUK is the author of “Living with Crossdressing: Defining a New Normal” and “Living with Crossdressing: Discovering your True Identity“. From NYC's Lucky Cheng's to 'We're Here", drag and the culture it represents has been int he zeitgeist for at least the last fifty years. And, as it becomes more a part of the social narrative more and more ultra conservative lawmakers have come forward to propose state-level bills banning government funding for Story Hours, set age requirements for drag shows, or ban venue drag performances outright. While some feel our national morality is at stake, the truth is drag performers and the human being under the glitter and foundation are just as valid as everyone else. In this installment of The Narcissism Series ORRA talks about how the socieities of today have accepted Immoral as the New Normal. A person is moral if that person follows the moral rules. A person is immoral if that person breaks the moral rules. A person is amoral if that person does not know about or care about the moral rules.Morals are the principles we follow that help us know the difference between right and wrong. When someone is immoral, they make decisions that purposely violate a moral agreement. Immoral is sometimes confused with amoral, which describes someone who has no morals and doesn't know what right or wrong means.

According to Don Lemon of CNN hurricane Ian is a new phenomenon. He said this as he scolded Jamie Rhome, acting director of NOAA's National Hurricane Center, for telling him he was wrong about Ian's strength having no relation to climate change. According to the New York Times Ian is the first major hurricane to hit Tampa in over a century, but this is so provably wrong it makes the story totally fictitious. Hurricane wind speed, sustained wind speed, pressure, storm surge, and economic damage, all are weighed, and then the worst condition is selected to create a narrative about the storm. Ian is not hitting Tampa head on, in terms of eye-wall. Joe Biden then warned the public that the best was to prepare for these major storms was to get a ‘shot'. Likewise, when the Nord Stream pipelines were blown up earlier this week the white House told us it was a great opportunity to go ‘green' and the same was said about rising gas prices. But there is more to the story. Just as technology exists to control, intensify, and denitrify hurricanes officially, the pipeline explosions were likely not accidental. Joe Biden and Victoria Nuland both warned that if Russia entered Ukraine the Nord Stream pipelines, particularly NS2, would be dealt with. A few months after Russia ‘invades' we find the US Navy and NATO conducting an unmanned underwater exercise in the Baltic sea near Nord Stream! Another US naval exercise was taking place in the Baltic Sea at the beginning of September. Then the CIA informed Berlin of a coming attack just days before the pipes depressurized from explosions, according to seismographs, and the very day Norway and Poland opened a new gas pipeline to replace Nord Stream 1 and 2. Meanwhile, the largest produce market in the world, Rungis International Market in Paris, has gone up in flames alongside of the dozens of food facilities over the last year that have also burned, exploded, or been hit by planes. Energy and food are under sustained attack. If United States did blow up the pipelines, it is an act of terrorism and war on Russia and Germany, which had control of the project.
The average surface temperature for the Earth in 2022 tied with 2015 as the fifth warmest on record. The warming trend for the planet continued with global temperatures 1.6 degrees Fahrenheit above the average baseline for 1951-1980 that NASA uses for its studies. In a post pandemic world, we've all heard the term, ‘the new normal'. No matter how you feel about Covid, no one can deny that some things are forever changed. What Nikki doesn't agree with is the notion that no one wants to work, and those who do will be able to cherry-pick jobs. There may have been a short period of time immediately after the shutdowns when that was true, but it's definitely not ‘the new normal'. In fact, the competition for quality jobs may be more fierce than ever. If people learned anything from the pandemic, it was that they want to spend their time where they are valued. The companies that you'll actually want to work for, the ones that treat their employees well, are not hiring just anyone. While some companies will hire just anyone to fill a spot, that is not the case for most. If a company is hiring out of desperation, that just tells you the caliber of people there won't be top notch. Nikki knows this first hand, as she's raised the bar on the type of employees she is looking for. To attract those people she's made sure her wages are competitive, and has even added some benefits. She will, however, leave the spot vacant until she finds the right fit. So if you're falling for the social media posts, or news media, that says you can just walk right into any job, you're in for a rude awakening. If you appear unmotivated, or have no sense of urgency about finding work, you won't find it, at least not with a good company. People, more than ever, want to work for a company that cares about them. Those people are holding out for good employers, and good employers are holding out for those types of people. Be prepared to align with the culture and mission the company is striving for. If you have questions about navigating employment or how to get a promotion, feel free to reach out to Nikki on any of her socials. She'll give you honest answers as an employer and business owner. What You'll Learn: Where a huge portion of the workforce “disappeared” to. Why it's important to align with a company's culture and mission. What type of attitude won't get you hired. And much more! Favorite Quote: “When the employees are provided for, and know that they have support, they're going to take care of the clients.” -Nikki _____________________________________________________________ Find Nikki on her Website here, or Email her at nikki@prissynikki.com You can also find her on Facebook, Instagram, & LinkedIn. [00:30] Left Goes Berserk After Anti-Semite Is Ousted From Foreign Affairs Committee (21 minutes) Yesterday, the House of Representatives voted to remove Rep. Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee because of her anti-Semitic views. Democrats tearfully and angrily claimed that her removal is “Islamophobic,” “racist,” “white supremacy” and “targeting women of color.” [21:00] Satan Preys on Human Emotions (17 minutes) The left's reaction to Omar's ousting and other apparently tear-jerking events shows the impact of “the prince of the power of the air” who works through human emotions, moods and impulses (Ephesians 2:2). Emotionally, many of our leaders are like little children. In contrast, God's Spirit is one of emotional maturity and soundness of mind (2 Timothy 1:7). [48:15] Project Veritas: Vaccines Affect Women's Reproductive Health (7 minutes) Pfizer director of research and development Jordon Walker told an undercover Project Veritas reporter that vaccines seem to be affecting women's menstrual cycles. However, the propaganda media refuses to report on this widespread vaccine side effect.
Debbie brings her favorite recurring guest, husband Sam Harrington, back onto the show. This is a special episode because they are celebrating 50 years of marriage today, Feb. 3, 2023.They were married a half century ago, in 1973. It was truly another age, pre-Internet and so much more. They were both 21. That's an astonishing fact: they were obviously too young to get married. But they did and the marriage has lasted. They acknowledge how lucky they are and how much they have to be grateful for. They have six grandchildren, they like hanging out together, and Sam is still teasing Debbie and making her laugh. They talk about the trivial and the existential and how it's okay to feel grief when they look back at their youthful passion and how young and beautiful they were. And how now is a time to think about their mortality and to try and enjoy each present moment.Things do change in a long marriage, as you'll hear. One thing doesn't, however. As always, Debbie and Sam disagree about a lot of things. "But that's all good..." A phrase they've adopted after watching W1A, a very funny British TV series starring Hugh Bonneville. In this episode, Savannah is excited to have Julie watch a newly launched whiskey commercial which tells a lovely holiday season family tale of transgender identity. Added to that is a Mars Halloween Bite: New Nanny Twix commercial from a Halloween or two ago. This episode —first released in 2009 and then again in 2015, with an update — asks, what is “normal”? Maybe it exists, maybe not. We examine peace-loving baboons with Stanford neuroscientist Robert Sapolsky, talk to Stu Rasmussen, whose preferred pronouns were he/him (https://zpr.io/nUdsZawNmhwt), and his neighbors in Silverton, Oregon about how a town chooses its community over outsider opinions. And lastly, we speak with an evolutionary anthropologist, Duke University's own Brian Hare, and an evolutionary biologist Tecumseh Fitch, then at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, now at the University of Vienna, Austria, about foxes who love to snuggle. And what we find is that normal — maybe the only normal — is change.
