I discuss the post, emotions tied to having to parent while black and the reality of actually deciding to move. There is something fishy about saying you have had the single parent experience after temporarily being without your partner. Why do so many people make reference to being a single mom on social media after their husband has been away for a business trip. It rubs me the wrong way when I see or hear something like that because it feels like it is diminishing power from an actual single parent to define their experience themselves. Am I too far off beat with this one?
