In January of 2014, Dame Inga Beale became the first female CEO of Lloyds of London with the daunting task of modernization. Beale inherited arguably the most iconic insurance brand in the world made up of 99 syndicates with operations in over 200 countries and gross written premiums of more than £35bn pounds.
