Francess Nana shares the beautiful complications of living in between two worlds as an African and as an American on American soil. She speaks about the asset African women have adaptability which will be critical in this season and in the post COVID-19 world. She encourage young women to work on their strengths whilst identifying their gaps and working across networks to develop those gaps into new skills.

Dr Ampadu shares the importance of sisterhood and the need to be able to give constructive criticism as well as support to each other. She shares what happens when sisterhood ties are broken due to one sided relationships and how she healed from and overcame those challenges in her sisterhood relationships.

Obenewa shares her experience in being bold in her identity as an African woman and the importance of speaking up at tables we deserve to be at with individuals that sometimes seek to silence us. Obenewa beautifully speaks about the importance of leading the process in creating safe spaces for people to show up as their full selves.

Maame begins her story by talking about the importance of ensuring the voices and contributions of African women living in the Diaspora are visible by amplifying their achievements as well as the struggles. She shares her selfcare routines to avoid burnout and how she shows up as a whole woman in the world.

Ambassador Dr. Abena Busia who is also a Professor at Rutgers University shares the importance of telling our stories as African women especially in places people assume we have no right to be. Abena shares the importance of creative expression, faith in journeying through her life transitions. She shares advice to the younger generation.

The DiaspoHer podcast celebrates the unfiltered journeys of African women across the Diaspora and continent by telling stories of African women by African women.
