Many Australians view the infamous Governor General Sir John Kerr as a greedy and overly ambitious man. He is often solely blamed for the dismissal’s outcome. Kerr did make a lot of mistakes but his intentions were authentic to serving Australia’s best interests while personality probably played more of a unconscious role on his decision-making.
