Is anything sacred for Democrats when it comes to helping citizens. The short version is this: federal agents raided the home and office of LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho, and multiple reports indicate the investigation is tied to LAUSD's failed AI chatbot project called "Ed," which was developed through a multimillion-dollar contract with the education technology company AllHere. Carvalho has not been charged with any crime, and the FBI has not publicly disclosed the full scope of the investigation. What happened? On February 25, 2026, the FBI executed search warrants at:Carvalho's home in Los Angeles LAUSD headquarters A Florida residence connected to education consultant Debra Kerr, who had ties to AllHere and Carvalho dating back to his time in Miami-Dade schools. Two days later, the LAUSD Board placed Carvalho on paid leave. On June 21, 2026, Carvalho resigned as superintendent, though he continued to deny wrongdoing. Authorities still have not announced any charges against him. What was the chatbot controversy? The controversy centers on an AI assistant called "Ed."LAUSD unveiled Ed in 2024 with considerable publicity. The chatbot was marketed as a personalized digital assistant for students and parents that could:Track grades and attendance Provide academic recommendations Translate communications into roughly 100 languages Help families navigate school services Carvalho championed the project as a major innovation for the district. The problem is that the vendor behind Ed, AllHere, collapsed shortly after launch. Why did it become a scandal?Several issues emerged:1. The company imploded.Within months of Ed's rollout, AllHere furloughed employees, entered bankruptcy, and ceased operations. LAUSD terminated the relationship after already paying millions of dollars toward the project. 2. The founder was indicted.AllHere founder Joanna Smith-Griffin was later charged with securities fraud, wire fraud, and identity theft related to allegations that investors were misled about the company's financial condition. 3. Questions arose about how the contract was awarded.Investigative reporting uncovered connections between AllHere and consultant Debra Kerr, who had longstanding professional ties to Carvalho. Kerr later claimed she was owed hundreds of thousands of dollars in commissions related to the LAUSD deal. Federal investigators reportedly began examining the financial aspects of the contract and the relationships surrounding it. 4. Student data concerns surfaced. After AllHere's collapse, critics raised concerns about how student information was handled and whether proper safeguards existed for data collected through the chatbot. Is Carvalho accused of anything? Not publicly. That distinction is important. The FBI searches indicate investigators believed there was sufficient reason to gather evidence, but as of today:Carvalho has not been charged. Prosecutors have not publicly accused him of criminal conduct. The search warrant affidavits remain sealed. His attorneys continue to maintain he acted lawfully and was not involved in selecting AllHere as a vendor. Why this became a political storyThe optics are terrible for LAUSD.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Eroll Kerr's professional ski career is actually two ski careers. A race part, where he was so close to making the World Cup and the US Alpine Ski Team and the other was his ski cross career, which was kick-started when he became a fully funded member of the US Ski Cross Team in his first race. Eroll has competed all over the world, raced for Jamaica in the 2010 Olympics, and was a regular at the X-Games. But, while his life seemed perfect, it hasn't always been, and we talk about the highs of winning, the lows of mental health issues, and everything in between. In this episode of Fishing the DMV, we head back to Buggs Island Reservoir, also known as Kerr Lake, for a full summer fishing report with Captain Zach from Threadfin Guide Services. If you are looking for the latest information on Buggs Island fishing, Kerr Lake fishing, Kerr Lake striper fishing, Buggs Island striped bass, Kerr Lake bass fishing, and summer patterns across the Virginia and North Carolina border, this episode is packed with valuable fishing insight.Captain Zach breaks down what is happening right now on Kerr Lake as the lake moves into its summer fishing patterns. We talk about current water conditions, water clarity, water temperature, lake levels, and how those factors are impacting the bite for striped bass, spotted bass, largemouth bass, walleye, white bass, and other species on Buggs Island.A major focus of this episode is Kerr Lake striper fishing and Buggs Island striped bass fishing. Zach explains how the shad spawn and herring spawn transition into the early summer striper pattern, why the fish are moving from nighttime topwater feeding into deeper schools, and how anglers can target them with deep water jigging, slab spoons, offshore-style jigs, braid-to-fluorocarbon setups, and vertical presentations. We discuss how stripers are being found in deep water, why staying directly over the school matters, and how fish can move quickly when feeding on bait.We also get into topwater striper fishing on Buggs Island and Kerr Lake, including the nighttime bite during the shad and herring spawn, fishing Cotton Cordell RedFins, and why calm, dark nights can create some of the best striper action of the year. Zach also previews the late summer and early fall topwater striper bite, when giant schools of striped bass can erupt on the surface and create some of the most exciting fishing anywhere in Virginia or North Carolina. This episode is not just about striper fishing. We also dive deep into Kerr Lake bass fishing, including summer bass fishing, spotted bass fishing, and largemouth bass fishing patterns. Zach explains how anglers can still catch bass shallow during the summer, especially around rock piles, brush piles, bluegill beds, willows, points, and baitfish activity. We talk about topwater bass fishing, big worm fishing, shallow rock piles, clear water sight-fishing opportunities, and why hot weather can be a great time to throw oversized soft plastics for largemouth bass. For anglers interested in spotted bass fishing, Zach breaks down why Buggs Island has become such an exciting spotted bass fishery. We discuss shallow topwater bites, offshore schools, points, deep water structure, and the possibility of truly giant spotted bass living in Kerr Lake. We also talk about how spotted bass, largemouth bass, and striped bass can all relate to blueback herring, threadfin shad, rock, brush, and offshore structure during the summer.Captain Zach also shares his thoughts on the changing fish populations in Buggs Island Reservoir, including the decline of white bass fishing, the increase in walleye catches, and what he is seeing while guiding across the lake. We discuss Kerr Lake walleye, white bass, catfish, carp, fly fishing opportunities, and how Threadfin Guide Services targets multiple species throughout the year across Virginia fishing and North Carolina fishing destinations. If you fish Buggs Island, Kerr Lake, Lake Gaston, southern Virginia, northern North Carolina, or any large reservoir with striped bass, largemouth bass, spotted bass, herring, shad, and offshore structure, this episode will help you better understand summer fishing patterns and how to adjust your approach. Please support Fishing the DMV on Patreon!!! https://patreon.com/FishingtheDMVPodcast If you are interested in being on the show or a sponsorship opportunity, please reach out to me at fishingtheDMV@gmail.com Threadfin Guide Service website: https://www.threadfinguide.com/about Threadfin Guide Service on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/threadfinguideservice/?hl=en Book a guide trip right here: https://anycreek.com/threadfinguideserviceLMD Enterprises: http://lmdoil.com/ Jake's bait & Tackle Website: http://www.jakesbaitandtackle.com/ Link to Tactical Fishing Company: https://tacticalfishingco.com/ Fishing Pro Tech: https://www.facebook.com/FishingProTech Phone Number: (757) 566-1278 Email: lin@fishingprotech.us Fishing Pro Tech Address: 7812-A Richmond Road, Toano, VA, United States, 23168 Flint Financial Planning: https://bit.ly/43t8h5N Max4 Fishing: https://bit.ly/4unuiOsSupport the show
Dr. Kerry Kerr McAvoy is a retired psychologist and renowned expert on narcissistic abuse. In this intensely candid conversation, Kerry shares not only her professional expertise but also her hard-earned personal experiences on breaking free from the grip of a toxic, narcissistic relationship. How is it that intelligent, self-aware women end up partnered with deceitful, sometimes dangerous, narcissistic men? And why does it often take so much time and emotional energy to break these bonds, even after the truth about these men is revealed? Well, it's complicated.Kerry explains the psychology and subtle social pressures that leave even the strongest, self-aware women vulnerable to the dynamics of betrayal, manipulation, and gaslighting. She unpacks the evolutionary and cultural roots of our need for connection and for being "chosen," which challenge women to reckon with self-betrayal as the deepest cut of all. This episode confronts the real-life erosion of self and the powerful journey to reclaim identity, agency, and healing. It will engage, challenge, inform, and empower.

Sam Kerr is back in the NWSL.In perhaps one of the craziest days of NWSL summer transfer window, Gotham FC reunited with one of the greatest goalscorers in league history while trading last season's Rookie of the Year Lilly Reale to Boston Legacy FC. At first glance, they may seem like two separate moves but together, they reveal exactly how Gotham views its championship window. In this episode, LDG break downs why Gotham brought Sam Kerr back to the club where she became an NWSL superstar, what the move means tactically under Juan Carlos Amorós, whether Kerr can still be one of the league's elite forwards after returning from injury, and why the club was willing to move on from one of the brightest young defenders in American soccer.LDG also dives into what Lilly Reale's departure means for both Gotham FC and Boston Legacy FC, whether the reported $400,000 deal was enough value, and the bigger question at the heart of these moves: did Gotham just make the smartest decision of the transfer window, or mortgage part of its future in pursuit of another championship?Thank you all for listening! Welcome to the award-winning The Hill Country Podcast. The Texas Hill Country is one of the most beautiful places on earth. In this podcast, Hill Country resident Tom Fox visits with the people and organizations that make this one of the most unique areas of Texas. In this episode, host Tom Fox speaks with Abby Filyaw and recovery coach Clayton Evans of the Hill Country Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse. They discuss Kerr County's recovery roughly 11 months after the flood, noting increased demand for mental health services, anxiety triggered by renewed rain warnings, and ongoing community impacts along the Guadalupe River. They discuss how disasters can have delayed substance-use effects, PTSD-like reactions, and the need to support both substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously, including referrals to an addictionologist. Abby outlines a naloxone/Narcan initiative deploying large purple “Barney” dispensing boxes at locations such as vape stores and the Kerr County Jail, driven by overdose risks from kratom and potent 7-OH, including deaths when mixed with alcohol, and supported by law enforcement through education and stigma reduction. Disclaimer: Both Chris and Kyle were watching the Knicks when multiple big track performances happened, so some of the detail recall is shakier than usual. No regrets.Discussed in this episode:– Knicks NBA Champions: Chris and Kyle grew up as New York sports fans, and CITIUS MAG as a company exists in part because the two bonded over the Yankees and Knicks.– Cooper Lutkenhaus beats Emmanuel Wanyoni in Oslo, 1:42.08: Photo finish — 1:42.08 to 1:42.09. World lead. Personal best. At 17 years old, he has now beaten the Olympic gold medalist and the Olympic silver medalist in the same 2026 season. His 2026 unbeaten record: six finals, six wins. – Ja'Kobe Tharp, 12.75 world record (110m hurdles prelim): The least surprising collegiate record of the weekend — it was coming — but the world record was genuinely shocking.– Adaejah Hodge, 10.63 (+1.9) in the 100m prelim: Breaks Sha'Carri Richardson's collegiate record of 10.75. Moves to #5 all-time globally, behind only Flo-Jo, Elaine Thompson-Herah, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, and Melissa Jefferson-Wooden. Also runs 21.68 in the 200 final for the collegiate record (breaks Abby Steiner's 21.8 from 2022).– Habtom Samuel, 5K/10K double: Light work. His kick is on another level from the current NCAA field. Marco Langon made a brave move at 400 to go and was humbled for it — not his fault, it's just that Haptam had a whole other gear.– Jaiden Reed, 19.63 (200m): Breaks Walter Dix's NCAA record that had stood since 2007. Most surprising record of the weekend.– Simeon Birnbaum, 3:36.05 (1500m): Second place was 1.13 seconds behind. Wire to wire. He broke the 25-year curse: no athlete who broke the NCAA mile or 1500 record had also won the title that same year. Birnbaum did both. Kyle gives his hypothetical 2026 World Championships team if one existed.– Jane Hedengren: Third in the 10K, ninth in the 5K — after being bedridden with illness all week, disclosed after her 10K race.– LA Grand Prix | Parker Valby wins the 5K in 14:39, a 10-second personal best from her 14:49 opener three weeks ago. She's now ninth on the US all-time list, ahead of Molly Huddle and Jane Hedengren. We set the over/under on 14:27.5 for this season.– Looking ahead: Ostrava on June 16th (Noah Lyles vs. Gout Gout in the 150, Tebogo vs. Gout Gout in the 200 — the more interesting race). GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Zepbound are changing the conversation around obesity and weight loss — but there's one major problem: most people are starting these medications with little to no guidance on how to properly nourish their body while taking them. And that matters.Because while GLP-1s can be incredibly effective tools for weight loss, they can also lead to muscle loss, under-eating, fatigue, nausea, hair loss, and long-term metabolic issues when nutrition is neglected. In today's episode, I'm breaking down the biggest nutrition mistakes people make on GLP-1 medications — and exactly how to protect your metabolism, preserve muscle, maintain energy, and build sustainable habits while losing weight. We'll cover:- Why protein becomes non-negotiable on GLP-1 medications- How much protein you actually need- The hidden dangers of under-eating- Why rapid weight loss can harm your metabolism- How to preserve muscle while losing fat- The critical role of strength training- What to do if you have no appetite- Tips for nausea and food aversions- How to create sustainable eating habits while on GLP-1s- Rebuilding a healthier relationship with foodThis episode is especially important if you've ever thought:“I'm barely eating… so why do I feel exhausted?”“Why am I losing muscle instead of just fat?”“How do I hit my protein goals when I'm never hungry?”GLP-1 medications are not magic — but when combined with proper nutrition and lifestyle support, they can become powerful tools for long-term health. If you're currently taking a GLP-1 medication, considering one, or supporting someone who is, this episode is a must-listen.And if you're looking for support along your journey, Dr. Sasha High and I would love to welcome you into our women's coaching program, Best Weight, where we openly discuss treatment options like GLP-1 medications and help women build sustainable, healthy weight loss habits together. Most of us have started a workout routine at least three times. We know what to do. We even want to do it. And yet, somehow, consistency remains the thing we can't crack — and we've been blaming ourselves for it ever since. In this episode, I break down a fascinating body of research called social facilitation, and what it reveals about why going it alone in fitness is so much harder than it needs to be — and exactly what to do about it.In this episode, you'll find out:Why does your body actually perform differently when other people are around — and what does that mean for your workouts? What is the Köhler Effect, and how does working out with someone slightly ahead of you unlock something extra you didn't know you had? What's the single most powerful habit you can build this week to hold yourself accountable to exercise — without overhauling your whole routine?Study References:Zajonc (1965) — Social Facilitation: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14300526/Irwin, Feltz, Kerr et al. This conversation is a reminder that curiosity, purpose, and following what genuinely energises you can often lead to a far more meaningful path than trying to force a perfectly linear plan. Episode Summary In this episode of the Joyosity™ Podcast, Jenn Whitmer talks with Jacqueline Kerr about how workplace change actually happens—inside teams, organizations, and systems. This episode is especially helpful for leaders, managers, culture builders, HR professionals, and change agents who want to improve team habits, workplace culture, employee engagement, burnout prevention, leadership communication, and organizational change adoption. Our moon is moving away from the earth at the rate of four centimeters per year. That might not seem like much. But that rate of movement away from the earth presents problems for those who believe the earth and moon have been around for 4.5 billion years. At the rate the moon is receding, it would have been so close to earth only 1.5 to 2 billion years ago that tidal friction would have melted earth's surface rocks. Mathematical fiddlings help a little, but not enough. By mathematically increasing the rate of earth's spin over supposed "billions" of years, and figuring in a factor for assumed different tidal rates, one can inch the earth moon relationship back to about 4 billion years.Evolutionary scientists believe the problem can be solved to keep their 4.5 billion years of evolutionary history intact. But, they admit that the assumptions being tried need investigation, since the matter is far from solved. In other words, evolutionists admit they have a problem making the earth moon relationship fit into their long age history. The mathematical models rule out the theory that the moon was formed billions of years ago from the same dust cloud that supposedly formed the earth. Also ruled out is the theory that the moon was captured by the earth's gravity. Only one explanation seems to satisfy the data--that the moon was formed relatively recently, orbiting the earth from the time of its creation.Psalm 148:3"Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.”Prayer: I thank You, dear Father in heaven, that Your Word to us in the Bible is true and can be trusted. With the creation I will bear witness to You as Creator, and with my mouth I will tell others of the salvation in Christ. In Jesus' Name. Amen.REF.: Dye, Brad. "The moon revisited." What if every line in the Book of Revelation was never about the end of the world — but about what's happening inside your own body right now?Kelly Marie Kerr spent years cross-referencing scripture with biochemistry, Essene cosmology, and ancient yoga, and what she found rewires everything you thought you knew about the Bible. The seven churches map onto your seven chakras. The 33 years of Jesus map onto the 33 vertebrae of your spine. John baptizing Jesus at age 30 lines up — molecule-for-molecule — with thyroxine (chemical symbol I-O-H-N), baptizing your cerebrospinal fluid at the 30th vertebra. The blue oil she saw rising during a spontaneous kundalini event? Almost certainly nitric oxide — the "777 molecule" pairing with oxygen, the "888 molecule" — and 888 just happens to be the gematria value of "Jesus" in Greek. We get into the sacred secretion, the three-and-a-half-day moon transit window, why your pineal gland is calcified, what a real Christed state actually feels like, and the 33% of human consciousness she believes will tip the planet into a different timeline. If you grew up scared of Revelation, this conversation will unscare you.

The 1919 competition attracted diverse aviators, including the Australian Harry Hawker, a fearless and sometimes "spiky" test pilot. Inspired by watching Harry Houdini fly in 1910, Hawker became a natural pilot who understood risks instinctively, even while hiding a secret and painful spinal injury from past crashes. He was joined by rivals like Fred Raynham, a quiet pilot with steely resolve who had survived a mid-flight tail snap during the war. The end of the war had destroyed the market for military aircraft overnight, forcing companies like Sopwith to build motorcycles and kitchenware to survive. Consequently, Northcliffe's prize offered a vital way to promote civil aviation. In contrast to these striving young pilots, Admiral Mark Kerr led a team for Handley Page. Born in a palace to an illustrious naval family, Kerr maintained a sharp class distinction, refusing to collaborate with his younger rivals. (2/4)1968 APOLLO 8

Most basketball fans first took note of Steve Kerr when he played for the Chicago Bulls in the nineteen-nineties, but it's through coaching that Kerr really came to the fore in the N.B.A. For more than twelve years, he's led the Golden State Warriors to four titles, and a record seventy-three-win season, in 2016. He also took home an Olympic gold medal as the coach of the U.S. men's team in 2024. Kerr has used his platform, at times, to wade into politics. He's spoken at the Democratic National Convention, and his name comes up in conversations about candidates for higher office. He's also been vocal about President Donald Trump, which is not without some risk. “Calling the President a buffoon? I kind of regret that, even though I felt it in my heart, even though a lot of people agreed with me,” Kerr tells the staff writer Charles Bethea.
