During this episode I assisted my yoga teacher Drew with a Mindfulness class at Martin Luther King Jr Park in the South Minneapolis area. We went for a walk, read a book, & the kids created their own stories using a format from Dr. Martinez MindBody Code. Dr. Martinez’s book shares how we feel emotional wounds through shame, abandonment, and betrayal. He also shares the medicine for those wounds which are honor, commitment, & loyalty. The book we read as a class was called “Be Kind”we clarified how that book relates to MindBody Code & creates our own stories within groups. It was a great way to experience Mindfulness being taught to kids & the impact we can all make in the world.
