I searched “The past of baseball”. o The publisher is highly respected in any area of history and have vast resources in the area of fact checking and research. o Very few changes have been made to the construction of the bat since regulations were made the most recent modification being the Pro XR more commonly known as the “axe bat”. But back before bat regulations kicked in bats ranged widely from 45in bats weighing in at 50oz or shaped like a banana with multiple handles. o I can use this source to give a history of the ideals and thinking behind the modern baseball bat and how it came to be where it is today. It tells us which bat would be best for us and our type of hitter and which might be better for another and see how a certain bat might affect performance. o I can use it to show the listener what they need to know about picking out the right bat for them and the differences between construction, weighting, shape etc.. It touched on a lot of previously unknown information and provided some insight into the game. o I can use this source to lighten up my podcast and make it more entertaining to the listener. Making them want to keep listening and enjoy it more than if it were all just boring straight up facts.
