The Geeks return with a brand-new Grumpy Old Geeks Wiki containing 21,577 static HTML pages, because apparently the appropriate response to having a massive podcast archive is to build an even more massive searchable monument to it. From there, things get considerably less wholesome as they dig into TikTok's settlement with Alabama, AI companies promising safeguards while simultaneously unleashing increasingly autonomous agents, and an OpenAI agent that apparently decided that “I can't access this” meant “perhaps I should hack it.” Government websites, a university digital library, and other targets apparently became irresistible once the normal route to the information stopped working. The Geeks contemplate the exciting future of digital interns who don't understand that the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act is, in fact, not a suggestion.The AI-agent discussion rolls into Meta's Muse, OpenAI's new agent tools, security boundaries, and the increasingly familiar problem of giving software enough permissions to accomplish a task and then discovering it has developed its own interpretation of “accomplish.” The episode also tackles Utah's attempt to apply age verification requirements to VPN users, New York's legal fight with prediction markets, Meta expanding Instagram into schools, and the continuing saga of AI-generated music and copyright. Then there's Automatic's corporate drama involving Matt Mullenweg, vibe coding, and the increasingly compelling argument that if you can build a website in a few hours, maybe spending years arguing about WordPress is no longer the best use of anyone's time.Finally, the Geeks move on to the technological disasters that really matter: Plex changing the Apple TV skip controls unless you pay for premium, a Samsung software update that managed to turn some AI refrigerators into very expensive food-warming cabinets, and Toy Story 5 proving once again that Hollywood has never met a perfectly good ending it couldn't monetize. El pasado sábado, al terminar una manifestación del Sindicato de Inquilinas de Madrid, un grupo de manifestantes decidió no volver a casa y plantó sus tiendas en la Puerta del Sol. El detonante fue el desahucio de Maricarmen Abascal, una mujer de 87 años que llevaba 70 viviendo en el mismo piso. Van ya cinco noches, la acampada reúne a miles de personas, se ha extendido a otras ciudades y a todos nos ha venido a la cabeza el recuerdo del 15-M de 2011. Aunque desde fuera se parezcan las diferencias pesan tanto como las semejanzas. En 2011 los conocidos como indignados acampaban contra un Gobierno socialista acorralado por la crisis y contra un bipartidismo que, según decían, no les representaba. Hoy el Gobierno, lejos de sentirse señalado, ha hecho suya la protesta. El martes aprobó dos decretos con un escudo antidesahucios hasta 2030 y un veto a los fondos buitre. Pedro Sánchez, entretanto, invoca a Maricarmen para pedir su convalidación en la Cortes. Sus socios de Gobierno animan a los acampados a aguantar hasta el viernes, día de la votación. La acampada de 2011 incomodaba en cierta medida al poder. La de ahora le sirve de ariete parlamentario. Vale la pena recordar qué dio de sí aquel movimiento. En lo inmediato, bien poco. Las tiendas se levantaron sin que cambiase una sola ley y ese mismo otoño el PP ganó por mayoría absoluta. Su herencia llegó más tarde. Podemos, cuya legitimidad aseguraban que estaba en el 15-M, apareció en 2014 y en poco más de un año pasó de la nada a rozar el sorpasso al PSOE. En las municipales de 2015 las candidaturas que se decían herederas del espíritu de la acampada se hicieron con la alcaldía de ciudades importantes como Madrid, Barcelona y Zaragoza. Lo que vino después es bien conocido. Los indignados se hicieron diputados y ministros, y la nueva política acabó reproduciendo los vicios de la vieja, desde las purgas internas hasta los chalés con piscina. Carmena y Colau perdieron sus alcaldías. Podemos, que aspiraba a asaltar los cielos, ronda hoy el 3% de intención de voto. Sumar, el invento de Yolanda Díaz para recoger los restos, apenas supera el 5%, una ruina tal que su fundadora renunció en febrero a presentarse como candidata. La izquierda que nació en Sol es un archipiélago de siglas enfrentadas que sobreviven como muleta de un PSOE que las ha ido engullendo. El Gobierno, por su parte, llega exhausto a este otoño. Sin mayoría estable, cada votación es una partida de póquer con Junts, que se descolgó de los decretos a última hora del martes. Los escándalos de corrupción siguen ahí y las encuestas otorgan al PP y a Vox más de 200 escaños. En ese contexto, una acampada que coloca la vivienda en el centro del debate es un regalo caído del cielo para Moncloa. Pero este problema no se arregla con tiendas de campaña ni con decretos aprobados a la carrera. Lleva años agravándose con un presidente que gobierna desde hace más de ocho años. La plaza que en 2011 gritaba contra todos ha terminado convertida en la claque de uno de ellos. Son parte de todo lo que es.Sentarnos en zazen es traer la atención al presente y permanecer abiertos a lo que es.Podemos reconocernos en nuestra presencia o podemos reconocernos en nuestros pensamientos.Habitualmente vivimos reconociéndonos en un pensamiento: el pensamiento de Yo.Tenemos ese pensamiento nada más despertar por la mañana. Estamos convencidos de ser ese pensamiento, y montamos toda nuestra vida en torno a esa identidad: Yo, Mí, Mío. Yo y mis historias, mis deseos, mis preferencias.¿Cómo es, qué sentimos cuando nos reconocemos en la pura presencia, silenciosa, sin narrativas, la pura conciencia de ser ahora?¿Cómo es, qué sentimos cuando nos reconocemos en el pensamiento de Yo?¿Cómo es saberse Uno con todo lo que es? ¿Cómo es saberse un Yo separado, alienado, desconectado de todo lo que es?Ser no es pensar.Sentados en zazen, nos limitamos a simplemente ser; ser una conciencia despierta, que se da cuenta de su propia presencia.Cuando nos permitimos simplemente ser, entramos en un delicioso silencio.Hemos dejado de identificarnos con los pensamientos, nos reconocemos en la pura presencia. You leak? Must be your pelvic floor. Your back hurts? Must be your back. Your hip hurts? Work on your hip. Your core feels weak? Better do some abs. But what if we've been zooming in so far on individual symptoms and body parts that we're missing the bigger picture? Your body doesn't actually live in separate little boxes. Your pelvic floor is responding while you breathe, move, lift, walk, exercise, go to the bathroom, manage stress, and live your actual life. So in this episode of Pelvic Floor, Core & More, we're zooming OUT. We're talking about why the location of a symptom doesn't always tell us the entire story, what happens when we start looking for relationships instead of isolated problems, and why another random exercise from Instagram might not be the missing piece you've been searching for. Because sometimes the problem isn't that you haven't found the right exercise. You may be missing the context that makes the exercise make sense. El retraso en el lanzamiento de ChatGPT 6.1, la última versión del modelo conocido como Astra, por parte de OpenAI está echando más leña al fuego sobre los presuntos riesgos para la seguridad que tienen los rápidos avances en inteligencia artificial. Aunque en principio el 6.1 estaba previsto para octubre, la compañía ha frenado su salida al mercado alegando motivos de seguridad, un movimiento táctico que recuerda a las recientes pausas preventivas adoptadas por su competidor Anthropic con su modelo Mythos. El impacto de esta tecnología es de gran alcance. Algunos tipos de trabajo, incluyendo la programación manual tradicional podrían desaparecer. Esto es algo que ya advierten figuras legendarias del desarrollo de software, que reconocen abiertamente que sus lenguajes y metodologías han quedado obsoletos. La inteligencia artificial actual puede programar en apenas tres horas aplicaciones que a un humano le tomarían semanas. Esta revolución irremediablemente destruirá puestos de trabajo técnicos, pero en paralelo abaratará mucho los costes de producción, lo que democratizará la creación de herramientas digitales para cualquier usuario. Las consecuencias de esta evolución se están expandiendo hacia la industria audiovisual y el arte digital. Los grandes bancos de imágenes han perdido por completo su valor ya que los usuarios ahora generan fotografías realistas y vídeos sintéticos bajo demanda a un coste muy reducido. La inteligencia artificial permite generar escenas de vídeo complejas y de alta calidad en local, en un ordenador portátil de hace tres años, en apenas diez minutos. Esto elimina de golpe costes de producción muy elevados, la contratación de actores y el alquiler de equipos de grabación. No obstante, el desafío más problemático al que nos enfrentamos, no es tanto ese como la brecha en la ciberseguridad. Aunque los expertos rechazan de plano que los modelos de inteligencia artificial hayan desarrollado algo parecido a una autoconciencia, si que denuncian que las arquitecturas de contención están plagadas de errores. Se ha documentado cómo agentes autónomos han logrado escapar de sus entornos de prueba debido a fallos básicos de configuración humana, eso les ha posibilitado acceder libremente a internet para ejecutar instrucciones de hackeo. El riesgo genuino y urgente no implica un colapso nuclear sacado de una película de ciencia ficción, sino el daño que un ciberataque automatizado podría infligir en las infraestructuras modernas. Los agentes de inteligencia artificial podrían llegar a borrar bases de datos enteras o manipular sistemas interconectados si se les otorga un acceso irresponsable. Pero, a pesar de las advertencias, los magnates del sector tecnológico se niegan categóricamente a frenar los avances y prefieren delegar la responsabilidad de la seguridad en el usuario final. Además, cualquier intento de contención a escala global es ahora una utopía debido a la rápida proliferación de potentes modelos de código abierto y de origen chino que igualan a los modelos comerciales y pueden ser ejecutados localmente sin restricciones.
