In this episode, recorded on Sept 26th and 28th, I talked to John Summers and Kathryn Millar.  John has a small plot of land in Southbridge and there he grows flowers that he sends into the Christchurch markets. He also sells some vegetables and fruit at his garden gate.  Kathryn and Geoff Millar have a remarkable garden at Wendrum south of Christchurch. Kathryn is also well acquainted with the rhododendrons at Orton Bradley park and the Ilam Homestead. Kathryn has a long association with rhododendrons and is a foundation member of the Canterbury Rhododendron Group. I apologise for the time editing and putting the interviews online. I think you'll still find both interviews very interesting.

In this episode, recorded on Sept 12th, I talked to Steve Wratten and Roy Edwards. They are both staff members at Lincoln University. Steve and I talked about potatoes, onion family members and getting the vegetable garden underway for the new growing season. Roy Edwards and I talked about sowing and planting annual flowers for the new growing season. Steve and Roy have both have many publications to their name so you can find out more with an internet search.

In this episode I talk to June McLachlan (daffodil grower), Steve Wratten (garden writer) and Tom Innes (permaculture gardener). The phone interviews were conducted on Monday August 29th (2016). With the spring season beginning they are all busy harvesting and planting. The interviews have been edited for size. Obviously more to talk about later!
