Music on the Edge

Podcast No. 5    Tonight’s talk brings together the creative trio of Dr.David Lancaster, Chris Caldwell and Kevin Appleby (composer, performer and promoter). The three ‘elements’ will have an opportunity to explore how the seeds and essence of new projects are nurtured and encouraged to eventually find form and flourish on the concert platform.    

A chance to catch up with Richard Mattingly, a former blacksmith (anvil in hand!) and now woodwind repairer based in London & Dublin. A chance to find out what makes him tick. A couple of gremlins (audio squeaks) on this podcast but hopefully not too distractive.

A look back at 2018, and a jump forward to 2019. The sights of André Wallace’s ‘Voyage’ exhibition at Poole Museum underscored with the music from ‘Coracle of Life’. Plus a special ‘Merry Christmas’ from Mr. Lawrence.  

Pod 2 finds us out on location in London’s theatre

Our first Podcast, the red light went on, the rehearsal was over and we’ve recorded our first Podcast on this very special day of ‘Remembrance Sunday’. Chris Caldwell gives the listener a taster about what ‘Music on the Edge’ is and how its activities relate to the ever changing world. We visit London, Dartmoor, Manchester & Poole in this first pod so buckle up and hopefully you’ll enjoy the ride.
