I am Lee Davis and I am the Pastor of Nortonville Baptist Church. This podcast will provide weekly episodes that will either be messages from sermon series at our weekly service, or discussions with other ministers and community leaders about biblical topics such as evangelism, church planting, etc.
1 John 4 tells us to test the Spirit to see if they are of God. He gives us a quick guideline and we dig a little deeper to learn what scripture says about the true characteristics of His Spirit.
In the last days...the time from Christ first coming and His second... the spirit of the Antichrist will indwell many who will put on the face of Christianity and Christ but are trying to corrupt, deceive, and lead astray as many as will follow. Do not let yourself be one of them.
It is easy to play the game but not have any real presence of God in our life. We maybe able to fool others but we will never be able to fool God. Question is our we fooling ourselves.
We will remain in 1 John but will will transition to the question "Who are You to Jesus?" You know all the right things to do and say but you truly do not know Him, therefore you cannot truly love Him...Obedience apart from these two are is not true obedience.
