Presenter with his article acquaints the participants and commentators with general concept of judicial custody and bail and its national and international practice along with principle of presumption of innocence until proven guilty. Furthermore, Nepalese legal framework regarding bail and its practice were thoroughly presented and commentators asserted their views by welding their experience and knowledge of law.

With regard to need of advanced legislative instrument dealing with information technology, government of Nepal proposed a bill in federal parliament. It became the most debated topic among experts as well as layman. On the one hand, it faced the massive criticism as it was claimed to restrict freedom of expression unreasonably. On the other hand, this bill was welcomed warmly as it was capable of addressing recent developments in information technology. With presence of experts, a discussion was held regarding possible positive and negative impacts of this bill.

Addressing the Ncell Tax issues that have been floating recently, the first episode of Vidhi Vimarsha series examined the decisions made by the Supreme Court of Nepal. The Vimarsha also examined the recent interim order given by The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) regarding the dispute.

The transformed version of historic Muluki Ain 1910 was enacted in 2020 as Muluki Ain 2020. It extirpated some of the evil practices of Nepalese society and steered the society in the path of progress. After its enactment, various substantial amendments were done in regard to daughters’ right to ancestral property, adoption, divorce rights etc. to follow as well as lead social change. The effects of those amendments and social progress brought by it were presented in a meticulous way by presenter. Welding his experience and knowledge of law, former justice Gyaindra Bahadur Shrestha shed the light on various progress brought by amendments of Muluki Ain ,2020 as well as the history of Muluki Ain in Nepal. Sabin Shrestha especially dealt with its impact on gender justice as well as other impacts.

Technological revolution has refashioned the nature of currency. Beginning from the barter system there has been a great deal of change in nature of transaction. In place of paper money, electronic money (digital payment system) is being used by lots of people. In addition, virtual currencies, mainly bitcoin are also in the scene. Some of the countries have legalized its mining and transaction but it is still a very new concept in our society. A research paper was presented by the presenter, which contained the detailed study of legality of bitcoin in Nepal as well as its merits and demerits. Commentators asserted their views regarding its utility and emphasized on need of proper legislative instrument regarding virtual currency.
