In this podcast, my friends and I will be discussing Feminist issues such as societal standards of beauty, the stigma of being single, toxic masculinity, dating apps, Feminism and religion, women in politics, and the intersection between race and feminism.
In this episode, my friend Emily and I talk about our experience with going to Catholic schools for 14 years. We talk about the positive and negative aspects of this experience. In particular, we talk about how this experience impacted us as women who just graduated from college and are starting our young adult lives. We hope that you all see this as an honest conversation about some of the issues that come up in Catholic education, but we also want you to see that there are aspects we value too.
In this episode, my friend Jazmine talks about her experience as a Black Woman and overall her perspective on Black Feminism.
My friend Morgan and I discuss U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her brand of feminism. We talk about what seems to be called the opposite of her feminism, Faux Feminism. We also talk about our own experiences with harassment in the workplace. And we end with a conversation about who some of our favorite feminists are. We hope to make you think, but we also hope you feel welcomed into our space.
This first episode is just an introduction to myself and the content of the podcast as a whole. I'm excited to be starting this journey with ya'll!
