Televised Revolution

This is the final Televised Revolution podcast. At least for now. We might be back. We might not.  On this, the final episode, we look back at the past ten years. We, Dan Barrett, Simon Band, and Dennis Dugandzic, have done the show for a decade and have seen a lot of things change in how we watch TV. We discuss what we have been watching, how we have watched it, and what we expect ten years from now.  We also discuss the TV that we have loved during this time. Can you believe The Sopranos was still on air when we started? Madness.

In this, the second last Televised Revolution podcast for the foreseeable future, the panel discuss the TV shows that have been driving their TV passions for the past week. Top of mind is new HBO drama Westworld (S01E01-E02). But the panel also take a few moments to discuss HBO’s new Sarah Jessica Parker comedy Divorce, new time travel garbage fire Timeless, and the TV adaptation of forgotten movie Frequency.

This week the panel discuss: Westworld - Brief chat about the critical outrage surrounding the show. Luke Cage - How did we like it? And why does it have Dan comparing it to UK comedy Fleabag? The Good Place - Episode 4 thoughts Atlanta - The show that just this week introduced black Justin Bieber as a character.

The panel do the TV podcast equivalent of yard work this week, tidying up some of last weeks unfinished business, while laying down some new top soil to better understand the TV that we’re all getting ready to watch for the back end of 2016. Dan, Dennis, and Simon ask: Will Quickflix wind down operations next week? What’s the deal with the new Doctor Who spin-off, set to be fasttracked on iView? Who are TV’s highest paid actors? The panel then revisit some of last weeks new shows, including The Good Place and Pitch, along with new shows like Easy and The Exorcist.
