Justin Bieber is back with his seventh studio album: the aptly-titled SWAG. The lo-fi, reverb-laden record is a remarkably candid look inside the world of Bieber, using the palette of both underground pop and 90's R&B to accentuate lyrics about his wife, his struggles, and his "standing on business." Notably, it's his first album post-split with manager Scooter Braun, and the first where Bieber has been in full artistic control. On this episode of Switched On Pop, we tap into the SWAG mindset and attempt to understand Bieber's newfound vision, what it's saying, and ultimately, if it even still matters. n this episode, we dive deep into Justin Bieber's faith journey, his surprising new album Swag, and what it reveals about the tension between spirituality and culture today. We explore Justin's public walk with Jesus — from his baptism and worship leading to his recent collaborations and explicit lyrics — and ask what it says about a generation that wants Jesus as Savior but struggles to surrender to Him as Lord. We also reflect on how believers can build a solid foundation of worldview, virtue, and impact, instead of chasing fruit out of season. The conversation ends with an invitation to the Bless God Summit, where we unpack these ideas even further.

I went to the Katy Perry concert in Anaheim and it was everything I wanted and more. And while I was there I couldn't not go to Disneyland. Meanwhile there was a lot going on in Hollywood. Justin Bieber unfortunately released a new album. I've yet to listen to it but I know I don't like it. While that is some good news for him, the bad news is that he has to pay Scooter Braun 31.5 million dollars for cancelling his last tour and for unpaid commission. Superman and I Know What You Did Last Summer both came out recently and I've seen them both. If you're a fan of the Zack Snyder Superman then I'm not sure you'll enjoy the new one. And if you're a fan of the original IKWYDLS, then you'll be happy to know that Freddie, Sarah and Jennifer all make a return in the new film. Jessie Murph and Noah Cyrus both have released new albums recently. And Paris Hilton makes a return to the Carl's Jr universe with Alix Earle in a new commercial. Thanks for listening!
SummaryIn this episode, the hosts engage in a lively discussion covering various topics, including reflections on the unusual summer weather and its implications for climate change, celebrity gossip surrounding Justin Bieber's new album, and personal life updates. They share their favorite food recommendations, recount a humorous gas station mishap, and express excitement for the new season of 'The Summer I Turned Pretty.' The conversation also delves into royal family dynamics and wedding etiquette, culminating in a bizarre story about a wedding incident that raises questions about relationship boundaries. We hope you enjoy!!
Running the Boston Marathon was a dream for Natalie Daniels and doing it six-months postpartum felt like a way for her to celebrate the beauty and power of the female body. That's why Daniels says she was troubled to learn that the Boston Marathon was now allowing men who identify as women to compete in the women's category. Daniels, an avid marathon runner, shared her concerns regarding the Boston Marathon policy on social media and on a podcast with XX-XY Athletics just a few days before the marathon in April. Almost instantly, people Daniels did and did not know began attacking her over her opinion that men should not be allowed to compete in the women's category. The young mom faced threats, with individuals online encouraging Boston Marathon attendees to throw bottles at Daniels while she ran. Following the race, Daniels was kicked out of her running club for refusing to state that a man, with enough hormones and treatment, can ever become a woman. Today, she has partnered with XX-XY Athletics, a pro-women athletic apparel company, to stand up for the integrity and protection of women's sports. Daniels joins the Problematic Women Podcast to share her story and explain how her faith in God has played a critical role in her running journey. Also on today's show, we discuss Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., appeared on “The Shawn Ryan Show,” and the controversy following Chip and Joanna Gaines decision to feature a same-sex couple in their new TV series. And is “Swag,” Justin Bieber's new album, a hit or a miss? We give our reactions. Enjoy the show! We're back fresh off one of the better weekends for music in 2025. Rory and Mal stamp Clipse's "Let God Sort 'Em Out" one of the best albums of the year...even if there is one thing Mal would change. Rory has high praise for Justin Bieber's latest project "Swag" despite having one of the worst album names of all-time. Mal had FOMO watching Drake pull out all the stops for Wireless Fest. Las Vegas looks to adopt "Uno" as a new casino game which has Demaris wondering what rules will the house play by. Plus, that really was Klay Thompson in the background of Megan Thee Stallion's IG post, Bleacher Report's 100 Greatest NBA Players list lost their minds leaving Kobe out the Top 10, and our voicemail sparks the "Who is allowed to say the 'n word' and when?" debate. #volumeSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We’re diving into the subject of Netflix’s documentary “A Deadly American Marriage”, which follows the story of Jason Corbett’s murder.Plus, we have updates on Bryan Kohberger, Denise Richards and Justin Bieber & Scooter Braun.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
