Truth Encounter: Christmas Miniseries

“Christ by highest heav’n adored, Christ the everlasting Lord…Veiled in flesh the Godhead see…Jesus, our Emmanuel.” This hymn by Charles Wesley has become a classic, but when I repeat words over and over their meaning fades. Like the usual background shopping music in the mall, I know that it is there, but who cares. As we leave Christmas and look toward our lives in the New Year, let’s turn to the text that inspired Charles Wesley.
