Friends of the Rosary,At that time, addressing the crowds, Christ Jesus instructed them, as we are reading today (Luke 14:25-33):"Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple."Moreover, the Lord doubled down on the message:"Everyone of you who does not renounce all his possessions cannot be my disciple."Here on Earth, we, sinners after all, are inclined to see the universe through the optics of our ego, our needs, and fears.Christ, the Son of the Living God, encourages us to undergo a complete transformation in the way we perceive life and our own conscience. This transformation is a true conversion. It goes far beyond a moral reform and wishful thoughts.Yes, we must live like saints to have this revelation after we accept the universal call to holiness we have received.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! After leaving Antioch following the persecution from the Jews Paul and Barnabas come to Iconium and enter the synagogue and begin preaching. Chapter 14 of Acts tells of the unbelieving Jews who stir up the peace of the city, whose people then make an attempt to stone the two Apostles. Their response is to flee to the nearby cities of Lystra and Derbe in Lycaonia (which means "wolf country") in the wild north of Turkey. Verse 10 says that the Apostles cure a crippled man. The unsophisticated heathen now decide that Paul and Barnabas are gods clothed as men. These citizens think that Barnabas is Zeus, the chief god; and Paul is Hermes, the messenger of Zeus. Paul and Barnabas quickly tear their own clothes trying to convince the pagan priests that the Apostles are men like themselves. Paul and Barnabas teach the people of Lystra from the Word of God. The first quotation used was from Jeremiah 10verses12 - one should read the entire context where "Yahweh the Living God" is contrasted with the idols of the nations. Next the population of Lystra turn on Paul, who continues to be persecuted by the Jews who came from Iconium. They stone Paul and drag him out of the city thinking that he was dead. Paul writes on this in 2nd Timothy 3; and I believe he also alludes to it in 2 Corinthians 1verses8-10 (which seems to imply that he was in fact resurrected at that time). Did Paul avoid these vicious foes? No! He stands again and walks back into Lystra - what a witness this is to the power of God. The next day the Apostles continue to travel to Derbe. These cities are part of Galatia - the Apostle Paul would later write a letter to the Galatians. Shortly after the events we have read, Paul and Barnabas revisit those believers and tell them (14verses22) that, "it would be with great pressures on believers that God would bring them into His kingdom". Paul's personal example strongly bore witness to that. The Apostles make administrative arrangements in the communities of the believers and return to Antioch in Syria from where the first missionary journey had started. There they rejoice with their home ecclesia about what God had accomplished through them. Chapter 15 commences by telling us that the Apostles, Paul and Barnabas, had not been with their home ecclesia for very long before believers from Jerusalem come to Antioch in Syria seeking to enforce Jewish customs on these newly baptised converts. A decision is made to resolve the matter by way of a conference in Jerusalem- the year is 44AD. Verse 5 speaks of the matters which are of prime concern to the converts from the Pharisees i.e. keeping the laws of Moses. Peter commences the discussion by explaining how by the conversion of Cornelius God had indicated that these matters were not necessary. What mattered was what they believed. Further the keeping of law was a yoke of bondage which the Jews themselves were not able to keep. Paul and Barnabas speak next and describe how the miracles and signs God did through those Apostles was evidence of God's acceptance of Gentiles, who He would save by His grace. James, the Lord's half-brother, who had acted as Chairman of the Conference, summarises the outcomes in verses 13-21. He adds many supporting Scriptures in his summary. The Council (Conference) writes a letter, the contents of which we are told in verses 22-35; only four binding essentials were to be required of Gentile believers and these were mostly moral behaviours and an attempt not to offend Jewish believers. Two representatives from Jerusalem (Judas and Silas) are chosen to accompany Paul and Barnabas with the circular letter to Gentile converts which was to begin its journey at Antioch. The chapter concludes with a sad rift between Barnabas and Paul over the matter of whether Barnabas' nephew John Mark should accompany them in this task. The result is that Barnabas takes Mark with him and goes to Cyprus, while Paul travels with Silas throughout Syria and Cilicia.

Send us a textWhat happens when a praise and worship project conveys the truth about our drama, proclivities, and mess and we still dare to dance while trusting in God's faithfulness to us? We open the curtain on “One Way,” a 24-track, diverse songwriting journey (from Pastor Mark's pen) undergirded by scripture that moves from raw confession to steady comfort, from quiet surrender to joyful praise, and lands on a fearless gospel invitation. The heart of 'One Way' is simple and strong: there is one way to God through Jesus, and that way is open, merciful, and near to all who choose to accept His invitation.Across the preview, we face the honest lines we all know too well—drama, issues, the ache of tests of faith—and we keep hearing the counter-melody: you're still called a child of the Only, Living God. Shelter imagery grounds the middle stretch, with God as refuge, wings, and peace when shadows gather. A bilingual love song widens the circle, celebrating a love that stays constant in joy and grief, speaking to a global church in two tongues. Then resurrection language breaks through like morning: “Daughter, wake up,” a call that turns grave clothes into garments of hope and names into new beginnings.Surrender finds shape in the echo of Jesus' pain in the garden of Gethsemane—“thy will be done”— while praise finds rhythm in dance that refuses shame and pushes bad vibes aside. The project also celebrates the God who is able to do more than we dream, writing futures that outlast worldly rejection. Once the invitation arrives, it's a personal and clear one: acknowledge our need for salvation from God's approaching wrath, believe in the finished work of Jesus, and confess a new allegiance that becomes service to others.A surprise are the 5 bonus gems concluding the project that have been 'remixed or extended' for those who may like the same message but within various genres. If you're craving praise or worship that addresses doubt, honesty, hope, and does so in an introspective, direct manner, yet purposes to shift our focus vertically, we pray that God's Spirit ministers (personally) to your heart. If this 'One Way' (preview) project moves you, tap to follow or even share the pre-release preview with a friend who needs encouragement, prior to the official release date. The name of Pastor's songwriting project is entitled: 'One Way' (by mdi.period) or better known as Pastor Mark's full-name initials: MDI.'One Way' becomes available for purchase on Tuesday, November 4, at any of your preferred digital retailers.Support the showIn lieu of eternity, sermons and musical artists are featured to extol JESUS CHRIST as the sole hope for the eternal souls of humanity.
Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”If your heart feels restless and the world feels loud, you're not broken—you're being called. We dive into the ache beneath anxiety and distraction and show how that desire is the starting line of a meaningful life. First the heart stirs, then the culture collides with it, and finally the Gospel speaks into both with clarity and love. That simple sequence changes how you see yourself, your choices, and your future. We explore the sensus fidelium—the instinct for truth alive in Gen Z and millennials who are waking up to the limits of “do whatever feels good.” Through the lens of natural law and lived experience, we unpack why normalization of disorder leaves people numb, and how the search for reality can become a source of courage. The story of the rich young man brings this home: you can keep the rules and still miss the invitation. Joy begins when desire meets a Person, not just a concept.Ready to choose between accident and purpose? Lean in and let this conversation reframe freedom as the power to love the good. Studies show that peace is the one thing that every human on the face of the earth wants. All over the world, there is war, there's conflict. In our homes, we face conflict and pain. In our very souls, we're full of anxiety and fear. And we long for peace. True peace is wholeness, when things are as they should be. The Bible tells us that we will only have true peace when we enter into a relationship with the Living God. Ephesians 2 tells us that Jesus, God's Son, came to preach peace to those who are far away and peace to those who are near. That means all people, and that means you. Have you experienced this true peace? True wholeness in a relationship with God? Always remember, there is hope with God. radio.hopewithgod.com
It's not always easy to forgive, right? Especially when someone hurts you deeply and doesn't even apologize. Maybe you feel they don't deserve to be forgiven. And maybe you're right! But think about this: Would you die for that person? Probably not. Would you die to take the punishment for their wrongs? Even more–NO! This is what Jesus did for you and for me! This way of love it's so different. He voluntarily gave His life as an offering for our wrongs, yours and mine—the ultimate act of selflessness. Are you ready to start a relationship with the Living God? Are you ready to begin a journey to a new way of life? Pray with me now. God, thank You for becoming the sacrifice for my sins. I am sorry for the many wrongs I have done. Please forgive me. I want to know You and follow Your ways. Amen. Always remember, there is hope with God. "For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son." Romans 5:10 radio.hopewithgod.com
Pastor opens today's class with the words from Psalm 135:15-18 "The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by human hands. They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see. They have ears, but cannot hear, nor is there breath in their mouths. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them." We will see the truth of these words in today's study. Elijah' Days: Most of this prophet's ministry was during the height of King Ahab in the north in Israel and King Jehoshaphat in the south in Judah. His name, Elijah, is even prophetic. In Hebrew it literally means, my God is Jehovah. ⁃ A time of great apostasy - under Ahab and Jezebel there was an attempt to get rid of any semblance of worship of the Living God and to supplant God with the worship of Baal. ⁃ A prophet of great faith (Elijah) ⁃ A man of insignificance (very little is know about him, was he even an Israelite?) ⁃ A time of great danger for believers. Ahab and Jezebel sought to destroy God's prophets. ⁃ A ministry of great impact Elijah's ministry is recorded in 1 Kings 17-19, 21 2 Kings 1-2 2 Chronicles 21 Elijah's Ministry: ⁃ Prediction and Provision (1 Kings 17) Elijah speaks that there will not be rain or dew for the next few years. This is a direct attack on King Ahab's gods. And the drought begins. Elijah goes into hiding. There are some great stories of God's miraculous provision for Elijah during the famine. ⁃ Contest at Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18-19) God tells Elijah 3 years after the drought started that he was to go to Ahab and tell him that God would send rain. Elijah confronts Ahab about abandoning God and says for Ahab and his people and 850 prophets of Baal to meet him, a prophet of God, at Mt. Carmel and offers them the choice to follow God or Baal. Elijah is severely outnumbered against 850 false prophets, but the contest begins. ⁃ The Contest - those prophets worshiping Baal were told to pray to Baal for Baal to bring fire onto their altar, but it never comes. Elijah then builds his altar of 12 stones (1 for each tribe of Israel), slaughters the bull and then covers the altar in water and at 3pm he prays to God and the fire of the Lord falls on Elijah's altar. When the people see this they fall and cry out, "The Lord, He is God, the Lord, He is God!" They destroy the false prophets, and the rains start falling. ⁃ The Aftermath - Elijah runs to Jezreel (the summer palace) where Jezebel threatens him saying she is going to ensure he is killed. Elijah becomes fearful and runs for his life. He hides in the wilderness and becomes very discouraged and depressed. He tells God that he's had enough, and to take his life. Then an angel of the Lord comes and tells him to head to Mt. Sinai where the Lord will appear to him. Join us next week as we continue our study of Elijah! Now What? Throughout God's love story the Bible it is revealed that God is a relational being. First and foremost there is His relationship within Himself. That is the Father, Son and Spirit, one God in a perfect love relationship. Then there is His relationship with His own creation including humanity. Jesus, the Christ and the Son of the Living God, will lay His life down bearing the sins of His own and then He will take His life up again. And then Jesus calls all of us to follow Him. But all the self-denial and cross-bearing is worth it because Jesus is the greatest treasure. And that fact helps us hold fast to our confession, steward the keys, bear our crosses, and wait for our reward.

Dr. Mitchell will be giving us a three point outline for verses in Mat.16:13-20. Jesus asked two questions. 1st was: who do people say the Son of Man is?The 2nd is: who do you say that I am?Peter gives the answer: You are the Christ the Sonof the living God. Can you say this about Jesus as He is revealed in the Scriptures? Dr. Mitchell exhorts us to consider it a point of wisdom to settle this question in one's own heart. In verse 17, Jesus reveals to Peter this revelation as being from His Father in heaven. This divine revelation of the Messiah is the rock upon which Jesus would build His church. The N.T. apostles and prophets then built on this revealed foundation of Christ Himself. Let's join Dr. Mitchell, Mat.16:13, on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast.
In The Glory Due His Name, Megan J. Conner reminds us that in a world obsessed with the artificial, it’s easy to lose sight of the majesty of God’s creation. Drawing from Psalm 29:2–4, this devotional calls believers to lift their eyes from the screens and distractions of daily life and return to authentic worship—to “ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name.” Highlights In a world filled with man-made distractions, we often overlook God’s true glory in creation. Like the Israelites in the wilderness, we easily forget God’s faithfulness and miracles when we focus on worldly comforts. God’s handiwork is all around us—every breath, seed, and heartbeat declares His majesty. Worship is not just a Sunday activity; it’s a daily act of remembrance and gratitude for God’s provision and redemption. We are called to lift our gaze, turn from distractions, and proclaim His greatness to the world. Join the Conversation How do you intentionally worship God in your daily life? Share your reflections and inspire others to glorify Him amid life’s noise. Tag @LifeAudioNetwork and use #AscribeGlory #WorthyIsTheLord #FaithInAction to join the conversation.
Turning to 1 Timothy 4:1-5 for week 7 of our series, The Church of the Living God, to see that Paul's words to Timothy are not just prophetic— they are personal and urgent today. Romans 8:14 — Does the Christian ever long for Heaven? How often do they think of glorification? Christians often discuss sanctification and do not realize that it is only a part of the process for the end goal of glorification. Glorification can be understood because of the assurance in Christ Jesus. In this sermon on Romans 8:14 titled “Sons of the Living God,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones says the theme of Romans 8 is not sanctification, but rather the assurance of a Christian's salvation. It is the absolute security of the final perseverance of all who have been justified by Jesus Christ. As Paul works through this chapter to Romans, he has been outlining several reasons for this assurance. In Romans 8:14, he come to the assurance in terms of sonship with God, which Dr. Lloyd-Jones argues is also the theme of the whole of Scripture. Because glorification is the final goal for all Christians, God would never allow something to prohibit His people from getting there. Dr. Lloyd-Jones discusses four points: not all are children of God, Christians are children of God, what this sonship means, and the consequences of this sonship. He leaves the listener with an encouraging message: because Christians are sons and daughters of God, they can look out into this world and never experience despair or panic because they belong to the family of God.

Daily Dose of Hope October 16, 2025 Scripture – John 7:25-53 Prayer: Holy God, Help us sit and reflect on your presence. Jesus, we need you. We go through our days distracted, sometimes even forgetting to pray or acknowledge you. Help us to be aware of your presence, knowing that you walk with us every step of the way, guiding us and leading us in all our words, actions, and decisions. We belong to you, Lord. Amen. Welcome back to the Daily Dose of Hope, the devotional and podcast that complements the New Hope Church daily Bible reading plan. We are currently doing a deep dive into the Gospels and Acts. Today, we are finishing up John 7. Today's reading is challenging. We are still in Jerusalem at the Festival of the Tabernacles. If you remember from yesterday's reading, Jesus has come to the festival later, trying to be discreet, but after a few days, he does begin to preach and teach. The comments are flying. I want to draw our attention to several verses that might be easy to skip over. Verses 37-39 read, On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”[c] 39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. Let's talk context. According to the Mishnah, part of the oral tradition of Jewish law, water ceremonies are an important part of the festival celebrations on the last day. A priest would draw water from the pool of Siloam, with a special golden pitcher and then take it back to the temple to pour into a silver bowl next the altar. As the water was poured out, the priest would pray to God to send rain. In some traditions, the water-drawing at the Festival of Tabernacles was interpreted as the drawing of the Holy Spirit. So please know this was a really powerful moment. It is hugely significant that Jesus, on this same day, says that whoever is thirsty should come to him and drink. He continues that anyone who believes in him will have rivers of living water flowing within them. Basically, and make sure you get this, Jesus is saying that those who drink of the water he gives will become sources of this living water. It is similar to what he told the Samaritan woman in chapter 4 when Jesus tells her that those who drink of the water he gives will never be thirsty because he offers water that leads to eternal life. In chapter 6, if you recall, Jesus called himself the bread of life. Now, he offers living water that leads to quenches the deepest spiritual thirst. What's kind of fascinating to me here is John's comment about the Spirit. He makes this connection between water and the Spirit. John makes other connections between water and the Spirit (remember his discussion with Nicodemus in which he spoke of being born of water and the Spirit.). John says in this passage that up until this time the Spirit had not come because Jesus hadn't been glorified. But John makes this strong suggestion that the living water Jesus is referring to is the Holy Spirit which is to come. Believers will soon have the Holy Spirit in their physical body and that will fulfill all spiritual thirst. Think about that. If you have said yes to Jesus, then that means that the Spirit of the Living God is in you. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is in you. That means the Spirit that fulfills all spiritual thirst is in you. How does that sit with you? Do you see how huge that is? One small but important note. Just because the Spirit had not yet come did not mean the Spirit did not yet exist. We know that the Holy Spirit was with God in the beginning. As the third person of the Trinity, the Spirit was present at creation, we see his presence throughout the Old Testament, and we see him descend like a dove on Jesus during his baptism. But he would not be offered to the church until after Jesus was glorified and ascended into heaven. Of course, it was on Pentecost, Acts 2, in which the Spirit comes, making an incredible scene, and indwells the believers. As the chapter progresses, we see the Jews are debating amongst themselves. We can sense the conflict rising between those who reject Jesus and those who believe he is Messiah. The true conflict boils down to who is the most accurate in their scriptural interpretation. We see this back and forth debate. John, as author of this Gospel, is basically joining the debate, defending Jesus and making it clear that he is Messiah. But the Jewish leaders are frustrated. They want him arrested. They want him out of their way. They feel incredibly threatened by Jesus' claims and they want to shut him down. More tomorrow. Blessings, Pastor Vicki

One out of two American Adults do not believe that the Bible is literally true. 50% of WE THE PEOPLE do not believe that the Bible is literally true. That is according to the findings of a recent survey conducted by the CHRISTIAN POST.Another survey conducted by LIFE WAY RESEARCH found that 48% of Americans believe:THE BIBLE, LIKE ALL SACRED WRITINGS, CONTAINS HELPFUL ACCOUNTSOF ANCIENT MYTHS BUT IS NOT LITERALLY TRUE.And yet another survey found that 44% of all American Adults do not believe the Bible is 100% accurate in all that it teaches. Then comes the Barna Group's recent survey which found that only 4% of American Adults and 6% of professing Christians hold a BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW.Those are really fascinating conclusions, are they not? Like all surveys, they are partially true, indicators, generalities, and conclusions reached on the basis of survey information by the respective survey companies. But, as with every survey, there are indeed some facts and some truth, however little. Surveys should never be taken as literally true as these surveys claim that half of American Adults do not take the Bible as literally true. But if the Bible is not literally true (and it is), then no teaching, document, or sacred treatise of any kind is true, absolute, but merely insightful, a guide, little more than human inspiration. With the many different types of cults and religions in this world today, without a document that is literally true and authoritative:ANYTHING GOES.Anything. In short, you could believe anything you wish and what you believe and what you determine as truth, especially spiritual truth, is as good as, as right as, as authoritative as the view of anyone else. ANYTHING GOES.If the sacred writings in the Bible, all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, are nothing more than helpful accounts of ancient myths, then the spiritual wisdom it contains, the historical accounts of great men and women led by God Almighty, the codes of ethics including the 10 Commandments are little more than advisory, opinions, moral generalities to be followed or not, to be believed or not. If the Bible isnot accurate in all that it teaches, if the Biblical worldview of Scripture is no more than a collection of the great thinkers, then the Judeo-Christian Bible is no different than any other sacred writing, has no more authority, and is little more than a collection of interesting stories, historical accounts, and ancient myths. According to these surveys, one out of two American Adults, including Christians, believe just that. What a tragedy that Americans have such a low view of Scripture and the Bible, not recognizing or believing that it contains the truth, the inspired Word of the Living God. It is no wonder that Americans see Scripture as really irrelevant. If it is one of many, then a form of UNIVERSALISM exists. Truth is everywhere or perhaps DEISM. There is a God, but that God is mysterious, vague, and hard to know, or perhaps as even some secular philosophers admit, there is a GREATER POWER, but that is all that human knowledge can ascertain. It is just simply impossible to be a Christian, a real Christian, and not believe fully and completely in the authoritarian, truthful, factual accounts, anything but mythical, in the 66 books of the Bible. Those books are for the TRUE BELIEVER, the real Christian:THE INSPIRED WORD OF GOD.They are for us the written gift of revelation. Those books are Holy-Spirit-inspired. They contain the truth of life here and eternal life hereafter. They are, those words are, absolute, uncompromising, accurate in every way and authoritative. No other sacred writings measure up. No other human understanding or spiritual insight can compare. Our Bible contains the Holy Revelation and words of God Almighty. And, the full expression and development of the ultimate spiritual facts and truths in the words of Jesus Christ:I AM THE WAYTHE TRUTHTHE LIFENO MAN COMETH TO THE FATHER BUT THROUGH METhat is not mythological, advisory, a spiritual possibility, but rather:THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH, AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH.So, my fellow Christians, when it comes to your Bible, HIS BIBLE:READ ITBELIEVE ITLEARN FROM ITAPPLY ITTEACH ITBE THANKFUL FOR ITThere is no other truth, spiritual truth. The real Christian knows that the Bible is truth, literal truth. It is accurate, accurate in every way. The Bible offers every Chirstian a Biblical worldview which is absolutely necessary and enlightening in this skeptical day and age. The Bible is more relevant and necessary today than ever.Read it. Treasure it. Ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom, and divine interpretation of the truth therein. No Christian, no real Christian, can ever doubt that the Bible is not the inspired, truthful, accurate:WORD OF THE LIVING GOD!

This week, we are going to talk about a powerful truth that's foundational to our identity as “A people following Christ IN”. We are called to be a temple. Not just any temple…the temple of the Living God. And this is our call not only individually, but for our faith family here at PFC corporately, as well as the entire Body of Christ.
