In this week's episode I interview Aundrea who is a 6th-grade advanced student. We talk all about extra credit in my science class which takes the form of Side Quests. These are activities that link with science content but don't necessarily connect directly to unit tests. They take two main forms: unit specific activities and monthly STEM challenges. The difference between the students is that Juan shares his notebook with a partner and Jeniven works on hers independently. We both gain interesting perspectives on our roles in the classroom, and his feedback on Nearpod lessons can teach us a lot about what students want and need.
