Conversations and stories designed to mobilize, encourage and equip the church and families to engage in adoption and caring for children who need families.
After 4 years of blissful marriage Wayne and Jessica Prussa got news that would change their lives forever, new they would be able to have kids of their own. Through appointments with infertility specialists, endocrinologists and an overly optimistic holistic doctor Wayne and Jessica hung onto hope and trusted Jesus to make their family complete. Several years ago Wayne and Jessica saw a flyer in their local gas station for a Christian music festival in Carrol Iowa. Since moving to Nebraska they missed the live music their previous home of Huntington Beach, CA offered so they decided to go. It was like Jesus planned the whole weekend just for them. This is where they got connected to Beauty Amidst The Ashes. This is also where their adoption journey. began. In April of 2020 Wayne and Jessica's 9 year journey to become parents came to an end when they brought 1 month old, Landon James home. It was a long journey but along the way they clung to their mantra, “God is good, God has a plan.”
