Dickey Newton

After confronting a video store clerk he suspects is a vampire, Dickey finds himself in over his head, the hunter suddenly becoming the hunted. Pursued by a rampaging black hotrod, the 12-year-old seeks refuge in an unlikely place – a house with a murder mystery just waiting to be solved.

Dickey and his companions continue their quest though a strange, magical land, overcoming fierce opponents and challenging obstacles at every turn. But is Dickey really the boy that the prophesies say will bring balance to the realm? And how will he ever make it back home to Jupiter Springs?  

Believing he's attending a Live Action Role-Playing event for his favorite game, Druids of Dragondale, Dickey is plummeted into an unfamiliar fantasy world - and he might be the only one that can save it.

Bullies are on a rampage at Jupiter Springs Junior High, and not just the usual ones – previously harmless students have suddenly turned into bullies, too. After falling victim to their cruelty, Dickey suspects something supernatural may be at play and vows to put a stop to it, utilizing his superhero persona in the process.   "May We Go Round" by Darren Curtis

Following a meandering trail of clues, he embarks on a whirlwind bike ride from suburbia to a cemetery, a bowling alley to the northern California wilderness, the elusive specter becoming an obsession.  The child of a missing father, he suddenly finds himself on the brink of discovering the truth to a mystery that's haunted him for four years.
