Holding on to hourly retail talent is hard, but not for Matt Heinly. As Nashville Store Manager for Patagonia, and a lifelong enthusiast for outdoor recreation and conservation, Matt connects his team to the company's larger mission and built a store culture that's doing more than just making sales.

Only one word can describe JoAdel's journey to create Fathom PBC--VISION. After seeing how the world could be, literally, he began creating a business to invest in youth-led innovation through entrepreneurism and activism in order to explore new paradigms of possibilities for societal change.

Wandering farmer Sarah Scarborough wanted better for her tea--she wanted the leaves to be rich, the blends to be flavorful, and the labor to be ethical. So she started her own company, Firepot Nomadic Teas, to create a transparent fair-trade supply chain and connect her customers in the US with the tea growers across the world to improve the lives of both.

As a Nashville native Ryan Bailey grew up with a love of the city and its natural landscapes, which is why he started Cumberland Kayak, an urban adventure company creating sustainable attractions and donating 2% of sales to local environmental nonprofits. He then set his sights on moving his family forklift business, The Bailey Company, toward zero-waste and lowering the construction industry's carbon footprint.

When Buddy Teaster became CEO in October 2012, Soles4Souls, Inc. was in a tail-spin. Public perception of the organization damaged by financial mismanagement and funders were bailing. With profound transparency and strategic positioning of the mission, Soles4Souls came back from the brink of collapse and became the nation's largest apparel social enterprise.
