These are some rough ideas, some rougher than others - The Goodtime Fun Hour and Werner Calls were improvised, the others scripted. There are discernable differences in levels and quality and the more eagle-eared among you may notice that Gene (that's me as are all the other charaters) has a significantly deeper voice on the Werner call; that's allergies for you! I'm doing these as part of some larger thing. Not sure exactly what that thing is yet but it keeps me off the streets. Well that and the ankle bracelet but that's another story! I imagine these pieces as part of some kind of slightly off kilter parallel universe where day is night, black is white, healthcare is universal, kindess prevails; well you get the idea. Also I'm a big fan of Tom Scharpling and Jon Wurster's bits on the Best Show. I was inspired by one of Jon's call ins as Gene, wherein he mentions his desire to host a radio show called "The Gene Simmons Goodtime Fun Hour" and voila, that led to this. I plan to keep working on this little hermetic world, growing it from the inside, no particular blueprint or schedule, and adding to it as frequently as the muses (and my work schedule) allow. Enjoy.
