Hello everyone

005 | Do as I Do, Not as I Say

Play Episode Listen Later Feb 23, 2018 9:03

This is an episode about modelling. No, not that kind; the act of showing others how to behave through our own actions. Oops! I gave the punchline away - that's OK because in this episode I give you two different ways to include this superpower in your teaching or parenting repertoire. It's really important that as parents and educators that the actions we take in the world match up with our stated goals. By modelling the behaviours and habits that successful people have, we invite our kids to take up those tools as well. It is not enough just to tell them what to do, we must also demonstrate it for them. By seeing the people they love and admire behaving well, young people are more inclined to adopt those habits for themselves. I hope you enjoy this podcast, let me know what you think! You can contact me via ejblog.link/contact oddly enough, or if you want to be featured on the podcast, send me a voice message through the Anchor app! I'd love to get your opinion. ~William
