Another origin story this week, as CEO Andrew Wilkinson joins to talk about how he went from scraping by as a barista to running a global design agency in just a couple of years. He discusses what it really means to be a CEO, the struggles of going from 0 employees to that first one, and how MetaLab grew so quickly (it involved pissing people off).

Taking the hot seat on this episode is Malcolm, the iOS engineering bridge between MetaLab (consulting) and software. He tells us about being a paid programmer since eighth grade, constantly pushing the boundaries of iOS, and how doing consulting work keeps us sharp in software.
