Trimester 2 week 9 2019 Dave Luis preaching on Matthew’s gospel on what Jesus meant when he came to fulfil the law. One of these being to always love our enemies, and not to show any signs of hatred or revenge to another. As much as this can be considered as counter cultural, many of Jesus’ commands are but yet they reward us with the key into God’s eternal kingdom.

Trimester 2 week 8 2019 Dave Luis preaching on Psalm 103 and the importance of not just to be thankful but to also live like it in our everyday life. During the talk Dave challenges us to wonder exactly how thankful are we and do we believe that people see us as thankful or constantly complaining about little things that others in this world don’t have the luxury of having.

Trimester 2 week 7 2019 Dave Luis preaching on Psalm 73 and that sometimes we can envy the life of those who do wickedness causing us to doubt that God has influence and power over this world. But we need to remember and always understand that one day justice will be given when God comes to judge the world of its evil and need to always hold fast to him and his son so we can forever live in his sanctuary.

Trimester 2 week 6 2019 Dave Luis preaching on psalm 23 and why the Lord is our shepherd, meaning our defender, protector and Rock. Dave challenges us to either continue to ask God for help in fearing no evil and give us the urge to dwell in him forever, or to patrol and control our own life only to fall flat due to stress and hardship.

Trimester 2 Week 5 2019 Dave Luis preaching on psalm 145 and showing that the old testament of the bible isn’t just about rules and law and punishment but also about passionate people singing praises to God through literature and poetry. Psalm 145 reminds us that there is nothing we see in this world that can ever be more amazing, more beautiful or more wonderful than God.

Trimester 2 week 4 2019 Dave Luis, preaching on Mark chapter 6 (feeding the five thousand) showing how true happiness and satisfaction comes from knowing Jesus and loving God and putting our lives in his hands.

Trimester 2 week 3 2019 Guest speaker Andrew from City on a hill preaching on Mark 13:1-13 and how Jesus explains how the temple will be destroyed and that others will hate you because of him. Since that doesn’t sound promising, people try to live life their way and fill their own “bucketlist” as Andrew describes. Instead we need to focus on filling our bucketlist with things that last for this world is not the end.

Trimester 2 week 2 2019 Chris Lynch speaking on Mark 8:31-38 and about the concept of taking up our cross to follow Jesus. He talks about how this means to not be  the centre of our lives, relying on comfort and acceptance, for that is sadly one way to lose your soul. For the only way to save our soul is by following Jesus.

Trimester 2 week 1 2019 Guest speaker William speaking on Mark 10:35-45 and how in reality we all like to be great, even though we sometimes don’t admit it. However we aren’t the only ones who want us to be great, but God also. In this world, in order to be great you need to be seen as successful. But in God’s eyes you can only be great through serving one another, not competing against one another. Will talks about why that is so hard.

Trimester 1 week 11 2019 Part four on our series in Exodus where Dave talks on how what we adore makes who we are. This time Dave speaks on the idea of light and when Moses’s face shone with the glory of God causing him to wear a veil so the Israelite people wouldn’t be afraid of him. In that we need to understand that sometimes we get pushed away from God’s light and that even today a veil is put over our hearts by the devil and it is only taken away whenever anyone turns to the LORD.
