    IlluminaTEENunity was a name we came up with in honor of our son Mateen Lomax. Who passed away last November from suicide. Today we share a little of his story and his struggle to fit in with peers his age. We also talk about some ways to talk to your children about seeing others, and helping to seek out opportunities to really know a person, and want to understand them.

    IlluminaTEEN Unity was created to bring a voice to those who are being marginalized in society. We'll start from the experiences and trials in our lives, that directed us to begin this podcast and Facebook page in honor of our son MaTEEN who passed away to suicide in November 2019.
