This week, we had planned to chat about reflections on quarantine/lockdowns + coronavirus. But with the country erupted in protest, we knew we needed to take a week and talk about RESISTANCE! We are no experts, but we felt compelled to share some thoughts and observations. Hope you give it a listen and share where you're at in your practice of resistance, too!

We are wrapping up our talk on families at the border. We took some rabbit trails, and tried to bring some things to the table that maybe aren't being talked about as much, rather than repeat what everyone is already saying! We chat about family separation- what it looks like in America in general, how attachment is SUPER important but doesn't have to define your life, and how tricky it is to criticize something without looking like you're batting for the other side. Polarized much? Thanks for sticking with us as we hash out this gut-wrenching time, and talk about how yes, this is the America we know.

In this episode, we are chatting about what's going on with kids and their parents at the border. (Who raised you, America? Cuz we need to talk.) We dive into colonization, immigration, the Constitution, and even the French Revolution a bit. What?! We know, ALL of those topics could take weeks to discuss, but we touch on a little bit of everything as we try to lay a foundation for talking about the current crisis of families being separated as they seek asylum.

We're chatting about how we were raised, our parenting experience so far, and what makes a "good" parent. Oh, and we even get into what was the bigger motivator to be good when we were kids- the threat of hell or getting a whoopin'. Yep, we are going there.
