A reflection on the journey that is raising a daughter and the complexities of finding that needed balance in which we as fathers can guide them without robbing them of the experience of learning what it means to be resilient. Includes a reading of my poem: "My Song of Silence (an ode to my daughter)".

Pain is a Place is a poem I wrote and shared in a Creative Writing class while working on my Bachelor's degree at Eastern Connecticut State University. I had never shared my poetry openly with others by way of a poetry reading. This was a very pivotal moment for me as I learned that others appreciated my life experiences and were thankful for me sharing them. There will be other segments following this one where I hope to share my experiences as I was able to go from Fatherless to Fatherhood. Thank you so very much for taking a moment to listen in!
