*Rough transcript below*hey friends, new and old. Thanks for clicking that play button. I hope you don’t regret it. I’m Loud-Skinded’s host Bobbie Wright. A lot of you may already know me but I wanted to introduce myself to those who don’t. I’m a Black 20-something old GenZer, new mom, filmmaker, content creator and so many more things. My instagram is Bobbie.jpg so lurk away for TMI purposes. I wanna speak a little on why I started the podcast and its origin story overall. As a creative, I’ve been stuck wondering what’s the best way to inform, protect, and serve my people — with special attention to us 20-somethings who fall into a state of traumatized silence; most of us would love to stay in a state of disillusion. But the time for healing and coming together is now. I would like to create a safe space for Black People to be heard. The best way I can think to start is by voicing my opinions and the opinions of any other Black guests who would like to join in on the show. If you’re Black, email us at loudskinded@gmail.com. We’d be excited to have you.Topics I’m excited to dive into include “The BLM trend vs. Direct Action,” “Interracial Friendships,” “The Future Black Wallstreet,” “Should We Reclaim What We Built or Let it Burn,” “PWIs & HBCUs,” “Nation-building,” “TREAT YO SPIRIT: connecting to the ancestors; fostering your mental health” AND MORE So yeah, this show isn’t just for me. It’s a round table sort of podcast. It’s inspired by black podcasters like the guys on Hella Black, Black Girl Pod, The Read, etc So please please keep tuning in. To the white people who will inevitably be tuning in, don’t exploit our voices without paying us what’s do. Education from Black folks on topics we discuss cost 1000s of dollars IRL …so support or reshare our episodes. We do not own the rights to this music. Instrumental is the property of Kevin Katana -- used for nonprofit purposes exclusively
