We must adopt the same attitude of Christ Jesus: humility - value - compassion.
“God’s nature is to give himself away to those who can never repay him. There is no clearer evidence of the presence of God in a person’s life than a replication of that same behavior.” John N. Oswalt
Revival comes to the Christ Follower that returns to God’s presence, responds to God’s Word in Repentance and Reignites his/her passion for serving God.
When we actively wait in anticipation and expectation of his coming help, putting our complete and confident trust and hope in him, our lives, which at times may seem to be in ruins, will be renewed, brought back to life, and he’ll cause them to vibrantly flourish again.
When faith, hope, and love are at the center of our motivation, joy and peace become our default disposition.
Freed from guilt and shame, as His masterpiece we find our worth, our confidence, and our belonging in Christ.
As our Deliverer King, Jesus moves into action when we call on Him because He delights in us.
No matter the trials or struggles we face, even in moments of doubt, we must never forget the many promises of Christ, continuing to walk in The Risen Way.
We follow the humble, servant King into his Upside Down Kingdom, laying down our cloak (out life) at his feet, and following his radical, royal law of love.
As I meditate on God’s care and love for me, my mind is being transformed to believe his promises, changing how I think about the source of my worry and fear.
Prayer is our Declaration of Dependence on God, where we align our will to his and place our complete trust in Him.
What Jesus said is true: gaining the outside world doesn’t help you if your inside world collapses.
There is nothing wrong with your life that apprenticeship to Jesus can’t set right, and that begins with a humble readiness to repent. It is good to follow Jesus into the wilderness for a season of surrender to slow down, removes distractions, and practice total dependence.
