Hello and welcome to Nostalgia Consultant, a podcast which aims to let you delve into the art and culture that shaped and inspires our guests, or as we call them, nostalgia consultant. In the pilot episode meet our first Nostalgia Consultant, performer Cal-I Jonel. Cal-I has been performing in and around London since his teenage years. Having sung in a Christian soul group, Cal-I went on to a successful career as a solo singer, releasing his own gospel EPs and albums. Professionally Cal-I worked as a teacher in East London, but in recent year’s he’s decided to retrain in acting and is now performing in “Book of Mormon” in London’s West End for 8 shows a week. In this first episode we discuss the items of art and culture that formed Cal-I as an individual and inspired the career change that he’s now pursuing.
