"How does it feel to be 30?" Hard to answer, right? Toni and Steph have acknowledged that they are grown, can do whatever they choose and don't care about the opinions of others. However, the journey to this point has not been smooth sailing and they highlight some of the obstacles they face when challenging the status quo.
Back with another episode Steph and Toni discuss the ever pending 'biological clock'. They have very different perspectives on this matter with different experiences. The expectation to have a baby/child within a time frame is subjected to the view of one's self and the opinion of others. To have a baby or not to have a baby? That is the question.
Arguably everybody is a 'Clart' and not in the terrible sense of the word but that everyone is still trying to figure themselves out. Toni and Steph attempt to define what it means to be mature at 30 and challenge the view that there is parallel relationship between age and maturity. They attempt (fail!) to go back in time to address their 16 year old selves with their 'clart-ish' ways.
Living in a time where 'delayed gratification' is an unfamiliar turf, Toni and Steph seek to explore what this means to them and the dangers of getting caught up in 'life goals'. The idea that 30+ year olds should have it all, is laughed at by encouraging listeners to live in their truths and embracing their own journey. They continue to share views in quirky way by giving real-life examples and referencing silly memes.
In this episode, Toni and Steph introduce a new series called 'The Spirit of...' inspired by their Nigerian Christian roots. They discuss the concept of marriage today and their views on online dating. Their lighthearted nature presents these topics in an amusing way by sharing anecdotes and real-life experiences.Â
An introduction to Toni and Steph's amusing but solid relationship as well as their invitation for you to join them on this podcast journey.
