Oh, You're That Mom . . .

Moms Make the Best Teachers! Ok, maybe not (and during this pandemic we have really seen that) but in this case she really does! Listen in as our next guest gives us her candid take on being an educator AND a mom! (at the same time). We dive deep into teaching, teaching during a pandemic, the best teachers gifts and how she really feels about the PTA.  Note: Recorded in April 2020.

Our first fire side chat with moms from past episodes drinking wine, laughing, crying. You know, stuff that moms do. We talk about life as moms, how we are coping with the the lack of toilet paper (we recorded PRIOR to quarantine) and experiences we have faced in the past.

This week we interview the mom we all love to hate. Well, I don't know if that is true but people have a lot to say about single moms and how they live their lives. We have only interviewed this one single mom and she doesn't seem to be the slut and gold digger we heard she would be. Also, her kids seem to be OK. Weird how that worked out. 

Homeschool Mom has been by far the most stereotyped person we have had on the show. There was never a lack of memes, articles and jokes on the interwebs, all of which are true because it is the internet. Duh. This week Wendy discusses what it is like for her as a homeschooling mom and addresses a lot of the stereotypes that go along with it. Wendy was homeschooled and she knew how to converse with other people, was bathed and also had a great sense of humor. Not at all what we expected from this self proclaimed homeschool weirdo.

It's hard to find content for an episode about raising only girls, from what we gather it is super easy and wonderful all of the time. Cause, you know, girls are SO MUCH EASIER than boys! Nicole joins us this week to talk about all of these wonderful moments and how she is so happy she had girls, never wanted a boy so she never even tried and the house is loaded with shotguns just waiting for that first date.

This week we discuss one moms journey to reduce the affect of technology on her children's developing brains. Lacey is VERY passionate about this topic and after speaking with her we definitely see her point. From birth to adulthood and everything in between, we discuss how technology is altering our brains, personalities, actions and even careers.

Most of us mom's don't think about the empty nest until it has creeped on up. To be fair we can barely think about anything other than lost socks, snot and our previous lives. Julie get's real deep on the reality of being an (almost) empty nester and how it is more of a shift in your mind set than a full blow change in your way of life. As always, things get pretty serious but we have a ton of laughs too!

Penises, that's why. Lindsay, our resident "Boy Mom," gets straight to the dirt on what it's like raising two little boys. We talk potty training, wrestling, judgy statements from other people and how we are all just doing the best we can!
