For our first full length episode, Shadhi interviewed her dad. He shares his journey of immigrating to the United States from Iran and his journey establishing life in Irving, TX, a suburb in the Dallas area.

Perspectives: Conversations with Elders provides seniors a platform to share their memories, life stories and words of wisdom through oral storytelling. This collection of conversations offers communities the gift of narrated reminiscence that transcends generations and illustrates the influence seniors have on our lives. The power of this engagement also counters isolation, a documented aging dilemma. The program is supported by AustinUP, a Central Texas non-profit organization that was established to implement the Austin Mayor’s plan to make Central Texas a place where seniors can live full, engaged lives.
