This time around on the Pingcroft Pod, hosts John and Lauren watched a movie neither of them had seen. They venture back to 1976 to discuss the ultimate underdog story: The Bad News Bears! They talk about the very colorful cast of characters, the use of Classical music throughout the movie, and their own experiences playing on little league teams.

The journey up until this point on The Pingcroft Pod has been about baseball movies Lauren has never seen before. However, this week our hosts took a detour. The Sandlot is a movie both hosts have seen, but decided to revisit because it is indeed a classic. Does this movie hold up, and is it as memorable has John and Lauren remember? Plus, some stats and facts from both movies and baseball for 1993!

The third episode of Season 1 of the Pingcroft Pod, our hosts take a trip to Cleveland to root on the underdogs in Major League! Did our hosts enjoy it as much as the previous two movies they watched? Tired of losing to the bigger pockets of the New York Yankees, Beane turns the baseball world on it's head with the help of Peter Brand (Jonah Hill). This movie takes a fantastic look at the behind the scenes running of a major league baseball team. Our hosts also go over the year end awards for MLB, and some movies facts from 2011. There was also so much crying. Many, many tears.
