Looking into the eyes of NFL voters, the story of how Matthew Stafford wins MVP has more of an appeal than Drake Maye's side. Is there anything Maye could do to change those minds over these last games? Then, Steph Curry gives an awkward celebration while an NHL player suffered an injury in a very embarrassing way in Arcand Fire. And, don't buy these AI toys that researchers are warning against in Clickbait.
The offseason is officially underway for the Red Sox and there is lots of optimism about if more big moves will be made. Will Craig Breslow and others make that happen? Then, keep an eye on every move that occurs throughout the whole MLB offseason and remember the impending lockout will be a factor in them all. And, the Celtics escaped the lowly Nets and Joe Mazzulla found a unique way to motivate Jaylen Brown.

Baseball find some new homes for the upcoming MLB season, an odd celebration from Steph Curry, and an NHL injury in an odd way in tonight's Arcand Fire.
1. Texas Declares Muslim Brotherhood & CARE as Terrorist Organizations Action Taken: Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued a proclamation designating the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CARE) as foreign terrorist and transnational criminal organizations. Implications: These groups are now prohibited from acquiring real property in Texas. Governor’s Statement: Abbott cited their alleged goals of imposing Sharia law and supporting terrorism globally. Background: CARE is described as a domestic organization linked to Hamas and implicated in supporting terrorism. The Muslim Brotherhood is portrayed as an umbrella group with affiliates like Hamas. Federal Context: Senator Cruz has pushed for federal designation for over a decade. Legislative efforts have faced resistance from State Department bureaucrats. Cruz introduced bipartisan legislation with Senator John Fetterman to designate affiliates first, then the global organization. Political Dynamics: Discussion of partisan challenges and rare bipartisan cooperation. Praise for Fetterman’s independence and criticism of Democratic Party’s internal politics. 2. Gambling Crisis in Professional Sports Issue: Widespread corruption linked to prop bets (bets on specific game events rather than outcomes). Examples: NBA and MLB scandals involving players and coaches fixing aspects of games. Detailed case: Cleveland Guardians pitchers allegedly manipulated pitches for betting gains, earning hundreds of thousands of dollars. Risks: Increased vulnerability due to proliferation of sports betting. Individual players can easily influence prop bets (e.g., throwing a ball instead of a strike). Senate Investigation: Cruz launched an oversight inquiry via the Senate Commerce Committee. Letters sent to MLB and NBA requesting information on integrity measures. Concerns: Potential for corruption in college sports. Discussion on whether leagues can self-police or if Congress should intervene. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now. On today' Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett and the Go-2-Guy Jim Moore open up the show reacting to the Josh Naylor press conference. Puck and Jim were in such awe how he handled himself and how he thanked the fans. Bringing Naylor back is one of the best moves the Mariners or any Seattle team has ever made. Puck also shares with Jim the hilarious news that he was sent an email by iHeart Radio informing him that he could submit his podcast to be nominated for the best sports podcast in the country! Nominees will be announced in January and the awards ceremony is in March. Puck and Jim would DO ANYTHING to be nominated and maybe win and then they would erect a billboard across from iHeart Seattle with their accomplishments! “In the Bloody Trenches” with Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftBlog.comjoins Puck to discuss the Seahawks narrow loss to the Rams and dismal performance from Sam Darnold. MLB Pipeline prospect analyst and reporter Jonathan Mayo visits the Jack Vita Show to recap the 2025 Arizona Fall League season. Jonathan has worked at MLB.com since 1999, and is the author of the 2023 book Smart, Wrong, and Lucky: The Origin Stories of Baseball's Unexpected Stars. The Arizona Fall League just wrapped up its 33rd season, with the Surprise Saguaros winning their third championship in four years. Jonathan spent two weeks this fall in Arizona and got a good look at this year's crop of talent. Which players were he and Jack most impressed by? Was Kevin McGonigle, MLB Pipeline's no. 2 overall prospect, truly the best player competing in AFL this year? Who were some of the other best prospects that played in Arizona this fall? Who were some of this year's under-the-radar prospects? Who were some guys who were not in the Top 100 coming into the AFL season, that had a nice showing in the desert, and might move into the next Top 100 rankings (coming in January)? Lastly, how do the Surprise Saguaros keep doing it? What sets them apart from the rest of the league? The Saguaros have appeared in six straight AFL Championship games, and have won the Championship three times over the last four years. Are they the team of the 2020s? Pick up a copy of Jonathan's book, Smart, Wrong, and Lucky: The Origin Stories of Baseball's Unexpected Stars, and check out his new podcast, Something Worth Saving! You can follow him on Twitter (@JonathanMayo) and Instagram (@jonathanmayob3).
