This week our guest on PodCraft is Loani Prior, of Queenland, known in knitting circles around the world. Author and popular tutor, she has penned several BEST SELLING books on the subject of tea cosies. She takes great delight in seeing the humour in her subjects, designing outrageous patterns and giving them equally funny names. This week we have the pleasure of having one of Australia's crafting legends Margaret Rolfe. She is possibly the first patchwork designer and patchwork author in Australia, it is an absolute joy to hear her more of her story. Not only is she a prolific patchwork and quilter she is also an authority on the history of quilts in Australia and further afield. Margaret introduced designs into the Australian quilting world that were not seen before. This week we welcome the fabulous Erin Lewis-Fitzgerald who introduces us to Modern Mending. Erin has become an amazing advocate for using creativity and talent to not only extend the life of beautiful garments but improve them throughout the process. Erin from a young age has been interested in sewing and reinventing her own clothes which provided her with freedom and creativity. She has taken this skill and passion and written a book so you too can mend that jumper with a hole or jeans with a rip in a stylish way! Erin’s mending has been displayed in art exhibitions in Melbourne and Adelaide and she teaches workshops across Australia and online.
