Over the past year, although it may not seem like it as we have been at home, the youth movement against climate change has grown larger than ever, however according to the International Energy Agency, Global energy-related carbon dioxide emissions are on course to surge by 1.5 billion tonnes in 2021 – the second-largest increase in history. Slowly, the youth galvanized mission of stopping climate change before we face its permanent impacts is becoming less of a reality, yet still young voices (not just Great Thunburge) emerge every day voicing their concern for the future. Among them is Alexandria Villeseñor. Alexandria Villasenor is one of the world's leading voices in the fight against climate change, the founder of non-profit organization Earth Uprising International, and a former speaker at the democratic National convention. At just 16, she has organized numerous international climate strikes, among them, the strikes the week of september 20th 2019 where over 12 million young people across 150 countries protested for climate action. It was at this event, in New York City, I saw Alexandria speak.
In this short episode, I share several tips to staying productive and healthy — whether it be taking a bath in the morning or getting sleep. I hope it helps! Stay safe.
