In honor of eating disorder awareness week, here is a glimpse into my (Alyssa's) journey and some helpful tools for anyone who has struggled with an eating disorder or loving their body image. Some ED stats to keep in mind: At least 30 million people of all ages and genders suffer from an ED in the U.S. Eating Disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness. Eating disorders effect all genders, ages, races and ethnicity groups. There are at least 10 different eating disorders.
