    In this episode of Sounds From The Slammer, we interviewed inmates at the Sterling Correctional Facility in Sterling, Colorado. The prison houses about 2,500 inmates at a variety of custody levels. Depending on an inmate’s custody level, they may be eligible to participate in programs – including the prison’s band, New Experience. The prison has offered various music programs, primarily music education on the maximum-security side, since it opened in 1999.

Her son's killer, Lindsey Haugen, is serving time in Montana Women's Prison -- which we featured in our second episode. Haugen participates in the facility's music program,Tutti Behind Walls. This episode focuses on a story of forgiveness, Greeson and Haugen's new relationship with each other, and the time they spend together singing church music during their visits.
