Today I will be interviewing Tiffany Luck. Tiffany is a Vice President of GGV Capital, a global venture capital firm, where she focuses on investing in software companies. Earlier in her career, Tiffany was the director of business development at Lot18, a startup focused on the wine industry, worked at Amazon as a product specialist on the advertising platform, and served as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. She is truly a superstar who has a varied career, so there is lots to learn from her experiences! Without further ado, here is today’s episode.

On this episode, we span from operations to finance to logistics with our guest of the day, Allison Barr. Allison is the head of Global product operations for the Money department of Uber, so along with her team, she manages, scales, and launches virtually all monetary products. Because Uber’s transactions among clients, drivers, and other employees are quite nuanced and intricate, this is a huge responsibility. In addition, Allison is a self taught public equity investor, and founder of Trail Run Capital, a small investment firm that seeks to invest in the next generation of global entrepreneurs.

Mauria is the founder and CEO of Allume, an online styling company that works to expedite the shopping process for women. With their expansive research and data on clothes and clients coupled with their growing community of personal stylists, Allume has systematically transformed the shopping process to become a woman’s “fashion partner for life.” Mauria is a serial entrepreneur, whose early experience in product management helped her understand the front and back end behind running a business.
