Former University of Tennessee and NFL quarterback Erik Ainge and co-host Brian Rice bring you a unique, inside look into Vols athletics from a player's perspective.
The Erik Ainge Show podcast has been my go-to for all things Big Orange since 1991 when I first moved to Birmingham. Being a Vols fan living outside of Tennessee hasn't been easy, but this show has provided me with the information and analysis I need without any bias or filter. Erik Ainge's ability to break down plays and provide insightful commentary has always impressed me, making him my favorite on-air personality. The chemistry between him and Brian is unmatched, and their knowledge of football shines through every episode. Even when they struggle, they manage to keep the show entertaining with their humor and witty banter.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the mix of humor and educated observations. It's not just a dry analysis of games; there are plenty of laughs along the way. Whether it's Erik poking fun at himself or Brian adding his own comedic touch, the show keeps listeners engaged and entertained. Additionally, the expertise that both Erik and Brian bring to the table is unparalleled. They offer unique insights into Tennessee football that you won't find anywhere else.
While there are many great aspects of The Erik Ainge Show podcast, one downside is that it airs in the morning, which doesn't fit into everyone's routine. However, this can easily be mitigated by listening to the podcast during the day like I do. Another suggestion would be to create shorter "best of" episodes each day for those who aren't able to listen to all three hours. This would allow more people to enjoy the highlights without overwhelming them with a long episode.
In conclusion, The Erik Ainge Show podcast has been a lifeline for me as a Vols fan living outside of Tennessee. From their informative analysis to their humorous banter, Erik and Brian create an enjoyable listening experience every time. I am grateful for their honesty and dedication to providing unbiased coverage of Tennessee football. I highly recommend this podcast not only to Vols fans but to any college football enthusiast. Keep up the great work, boys!
