Each month, Dean Hodge shares his joys and woes of breaking into the comic book industry and presents an "audio profile" of another comic artist starting his/her career.
We've got Anton Tsibu on the podcast today! A comic artist from SCAD, we met Anton through the shared love of superhero comics. Currently working on storyboards, Anton shares his love for Dragon Ball, animation, and this journey to SCAD and beyond! This month, I got to talk with a fellow SCAD graduate, Brianna Berry. She's always had a fun, playful style, and we get to hear about her journey into art, her time at SCAD, and future opportunities like the Black Magic anthology! Check out her artwork here: http://brianna-a-berry.tumblr.com
We're back! Nobody really wanted to talk comics for about two months there. That was rough. But remember folks, art can flourish during times of adversity and uncertainty. I got to speak with Tara and Meagan, two talented ladies that are helping to organize the comics community in Chattanooga, TN. There's a surprising number of artists, writers, and creators in the scenic city! I also got to find out what led to the creation of the Chatt Comix Co-op, and what exciting projects the Co-op has planned for the new year. If you enjoy making comics, and live in the Chattanooga area, come to Infinity Flux every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month to attend the Co-op meetings.
